Orioles....part 2?

4 hits in 11 innings and none after the 6th.  That didn't help.

Exactly. YES, it sucks that Buck made a huge mistake by not bringing in Britton. BUT, no one is talking about the fact that Chris Davis also could have had a fucking HIT or Home run to help out what was otherwise an awesome game pitched by everyone else.

What a fucking awful end to the season.

Sorry O's fans.  Tough one to swallow.  That was some Dusty Baker like management of a bullpen right there in the 11th.  I can see starting the inning with Ubaldo, but as soon as the first guy got on, it had to be Britton.  Then 1st and 3rd, also had to be Britton.

Buck is always so good at pulling the right card, as he did earlier, but this one is just beyond reasonable.  They'll talk about this for a while - well, until Dusty does a few scratch your head moments.

My exact thoughts…

At some point before he dies, I am absolutely certain Dusty Baker will see a reliever come in to set up a lefty-righty matchup against his batter and he will insist his non-switch hitter batter hit from the other side to counteract it.

You're all scoffing but just think about it for a second. . . deep down you're not really certain he wouldn't, are you?
I understand that Andrew Miller is Andrew Miller but what are the chances that Britton takes on the same persona as a guy who comes in in the 7th or 8th while the game is on the line?  Is that going to be the thing throughout all baseball?  And will Buck ever fess up to fucking up?

Showalter "stunned" Britton wasn't selected as a finalist for Cy Young.

"Real poor reflection on the people evaluating" - said Buck

Harold Reynolds - "worst omission I've ever seen"

Not sure if those are about the Wildcard game snub or about the voters of the award.

Don't look back you can never look back…
Duquette: "We told (Bautista's) agent that we are not interested because our fans don't like him."
I saw that.. seems kind of a harsh thing to say in public???

Although I completely agree.. I cannot stand the guy.

awesome.
Or they're still bitter that they once had him and let him go….off waivers!

You know what Joey Bats has that Dan Duquette does not have?

A World Series Ring.
So does Ortiz.  And we hate him too.
Castillo signed.  Wieters goes to…..  ?

Can't frame a pitch.
Can't stay healthy.
Represented by Boras.

That means either the Yanks or the Nats.

I had posted Nats originally.  So they don't view Norris as the #1?

They'll move Norris if they sign Wieters - they just needed an insurance policy against the Yankees or the dreaded super expensive one year deal that some team might sign him to.
Yovani Gallardo and cash for Seth Smith

Good for Seth.  Everybody likes being traded to the shoebox in a contract year.

And good for Yovani, too.  Much more pitcher friendly park in Seattle.
O's will reportedly save $4M.
