Think we can get Jack White behind the creation of The United States Of Canada?
Someone needs to spearhead this…

For those not paying attention, Mr S Miller says it's safe to wear your watches again in DC
this is winning!

People who can afford watch insurance or to buy a replacement watch have always been able to wear their watches in DC. Such prole concerns.

One time last September, I was having drinks with some co-workers across the street from the Heritage Foundation. One of my coworkers pointed out the little bald guy coming out of the Heritage Foundation and subsequently walking down the street and said , "Isn't that S Miller?"
We didn't note if he had a watch on or not.

This is the eternal question, right? What can one person do to oppose Trump?
Not that many things come to mind.
I mean if ALL Trump opponents refused to pay federal income tax that would be something.
Or we could all try to leave? Seems impossible to all leave but although I can’t believe it am going to try and get my Argentine passport squared away in next few months (it expired many years ago) and as a more long term project get my kids Argentine citizenship.
Let’s face it sooner or later someone may get the idea of armed resistance but that’s not for most of us…
We could peacefully protest but people have everyday things they need to do.
We could contribute money to the ACLU or someone? Seems like there should be an organization for us? But aren’t republicans trying to quash act blue?
Honestly am at a loss…I think we all are…

My wife says I need to focus my thoughts more on pleasing her, making money, and repairing my home. And less on politics that I can't do anything about. And less on live music, which is the realm of 20somethings.

Right…that’s the go along school of thought….most people do that…most people are not heroes
I remember asking my uncle Mario in Buenos Aires if he remembered anything about the people being disappeared in the 1970s in Argentina… as a Jew - non practicing- I thought maybe he would have seen something when the military government started rounding up leftists or people they thought were leftists (many Jews of course)… he said “not really but there were some people that disappeared from the group that played chess at the “…I said “did you think anything of it?” And he said “not really”….
He kept his head down and went about his business….the general feeling was “algo habrá hecho” by mainstream society regarding the disappeared…”he/she must have done something (wrong)”….”
When I asked my uncle he was an old man and shortly he would die….i didn’t pursue it but I got the gist: in dangerous times most people keep their head down, rationalize, and go about their business…
Keep in mind my uncle Mario was a second father for me and probably the greatest person I knew.

I recently looked into seeing if I could get Polish or German citizenship due to my ancestry, but I'm too many generations away and wouldn't be able to prove anything.
I was really hoping I could get an EU passport.

he is no wrong….
Reporter: It requires an act of congress to rename the Defense Department
Trump: We’re just going to do it. I’m sure Congress will just go along

I think the real name should always have been Department of War and Defense.
Dept of Defense has always seemed like total bullcrap to me. Was it “Defense”when we invaded Grenada, Panama, Iraq, Afghanistan, and any other number of countries?!? Vietnam?? All our invasions in Latin America?? Or when we lob missiles at Iran or Yemen? Was it Defense when we gave Great Britain refueling rights on Ascension Island off of Brazil during the Malvinas War or Intel?
I think Department of War is more honest than Department of Defense. It’s not as politic obviously.
