There's a thread over on the U. of Michigan athletics messageboard I read where people are debating if this will/should spell the end of Mr. Brightside getting played at football games, which is possibly the most liberal-Ann Arbor debate imaginable.

i kinda feel sorry for brandon… kinda.  in his naiveté, he tried creating a "we're all brothers" moment, which is commendable, but: learn to read the room, dude.  russia invaded georgia in 2008, killed a lot of people in a 5-day war, and to this day still holds about 20% of pre-2008 georgian territory.  georgians despise russians.  bringing a rooskiy on stage was never going to work, no matter how much some clueless american would like them to "just all get along"…
