I've only truly loved one videogame in the past 10 years and that game was Skyrim.

Anyone get GTA5 yesterday? I'm going to wait, as this isn't a good time for me to disappear into a game. But everything I've read on other boards and sites has been awesome.

wait for this, if you do, dive in

Why do the only two Artisphere events that I want to attend both fall on days when I already have plans?

Prince Rama is this Saturday (same day as Freefest then Dan Deacon)

Janka Nabay & Bubu Gang is on October 19 (which is the same day as UnFest Day 2)

Oh well, maybe next year!

the way they are going they may not be around next year…
A not so random thought.

Please be civil on this forum.

It is not a place to continually dump one's political views, being "provocative" has gotten tiresome.

allow me to admit something.  iam a nerd.  god i love nerds.  revenge of the nerds is holy material.

that picture of the ships you posted, kill sally, and the ability to click on it to blow it and really study . . . made me go alex p keaton on my private areas.
Was does the Tea Party pretend to be christian?  They want to eliminate Food Stamps.  Come on feeding the poor was Jesus' go to move.  If he wasn't healing the sick you know he had his bread and fish out to feed the less fortunate.

Why don't they tell the truth?  That they are for big gun manufactures, bankers, and ceo' of oil companies.
please tell me . . . that you know why tea party people "really" want food stamps gone.  you have to know the answer to that.  its so, black and white.
I'm not sure what the 'tea party' wants but I am all in favor of putting a one year limit on welfare and food stamps.  Just like there is a one year limit on unemployment benefits.  Hell if either should have a longer limit it would be unemployment.  While none of these programs was ever intended to be a way of life at least the people on unemployment worked their asses off for some period of time to get the benefits of that program.  The others, well in many cases they just learned form mommy and daddy that if they sit on their buts and didn't even try to better themselves they can get free handouts forever.

Yeah I am sure being homeless but having food is just great.  People should get Food Stamps no matter how long they are unemployed.  It would be the last program of any that I would ever cut.  You sure are bitter to your fellow man.

Homeless <> food stamps.  Your whole point fails for invalid premise.  Try again.  I don't mind having a conversation with you about this but try to stay on topic.

If all you get from the government is food stamps and you don't have a job odds are you are homeless.  But why would you want anyone to go hungry?  I don't get it.  Do you not care about anyone but yourself?  This seems sociopathic behavior.

You should visit Germany they have a ton of social programs, public health care,  and their economy is better than ours and they don't have much crime.

You are still making an invalid premise and no one said that anyone should go hungry.  Try again, you really cannot be this ignorant .

You are the one that said people should go hungry.  You said there should be a one year limit on food stamps.  So you want people starving in the streets.  Just admit it.

Over all, nearly 48 million Americans now receive food stamps, an $80 billion-a-year program that is increasingly the target of conservatives. Robert Rector, a scholar at the conservative Heritage Foundation, argues that the food stamp program should be overhauled so that benefits are tied to work, much as welfare was revamped under President Bill Clinton. He advocates mandatory drug testing for food stamp recipients ? a position that draws support from Mr. Rigsby, who dreams of becoming a game warden and said it irritated him to see people ?mooch off the system.?

But when benefits drop in November, the Rigsbys, who say they receive about $350 a month, can expect $29 less.

?People have a lot of misimpressions about hunger in America,? said Maura Daly, a Feeding America spokeswoman. ?People think it?s associated with homelessness when, in fact, it is working poor families, it?s kids, it?s the disabled.? Hunger is often invisible, she said, and in rural areas it is even more so.
