when the truth is too much for you . . . just lie in journalism. this article claims that some anti obama movie was number 1 at the box offices, then in the article it says it was actually number 3 . . . but if you check the actual box office chart ratings, it was #13. how odd that this shit is allowed. but is does not shock me.

a republican judge claimed that if obama is elected, he will "hand over amercain sovereignty to the UN" (as if the UN is in the business of taking over countries), people will rise up, and obama will "call in the UN troops" (as if the UN has any troops).  pure lunacy… and someone people aren't running the idiot out of town.

look at akin, look at that texas judge calling for people to take up arms if obama is reelected, look at what republicans tried to do to voting rights in PA and OH… the GOP is not a party of facts.  it's a party of values.  and when values trump facts, you can say anything you want as long as is serves the values.  hence: truthiness.

Actually he said COULD not WILL.  I do not at all agree with his train of thought, however with Bammy nothing is impossible.  If we kicked everyone out of office who said something stupid, EVERYONE in Washington would be out of a job including the anointed one.

From even before he was elected, Bammy has been pitting segments of our society against each other.  It has only gotten worse since he got in office.  I agree that this snippet is more of that them against us, but don't think that this is something that belongs to one side alone.

All people quoting statistics bend them and shape them to fit their needs.  Just like the game they play with budgets.  A program that is funded at $25 billion this year will get budgeted for $100 billion the next year.  Then one side or the other (They both do it) get that dropped to new budget dropped to $80 billion.  Then they will go out and say "look we saved $20 billion."  They didn't save shit.  There still was an increase of $55 billion!  They play that game and the American public falls for it every year!  The only truth about statistics is that 87.4% of people quoting statistics are making them up off the top of their heads.

Sorry I am still taking oxycodone for the pain of this neuralgia that is acting up.  It really looked right to me.  And to think I looked at it 4-5 times before I clicked post!  (Excuse my terrible typing for the next day or two please.  I REALLY hate being drugged a LOT, but the alternative of the pain form the TN is 100% unacceptable.)

has anyone seen this so called documentary about my Bammy?  I have no desire to see it.  Sounds like it is going to a be more than slightly twisted and slanted presentation of pseudo facts mixed with a large amount of opinion all passed off as certainty.  That is what this type of film usually is no matter who makes it and who it is made about.

I want to take a few minutes here to make a special post.  All our political BS aside, my son is a Marine.  I served in the Corps form 1977 - 1981.  I have never been as proud of anyone as I was the day I hugged my son on the drill field of Parris Island SC.  Those who have been in this position, others just won't.  Anyway, Daniel will be heading over seas very soon to serve our country for a year.  I know God will keep him safe and he is a smart young man.  Still while I am extremely proud of him, I am totally scared shitless about him being over there.  The young men and women who join the military basically write a check that is payable up to their lives for the entire length of their enlistment.  So as we sit here and debate our particular beliefs, remember that it is because of the courage of these brave souls that we have the freedom to do so.  I have always tried to keep this in mind, but right now it is kind of hitting home a little more than usual.

A big thank you to everyone who chime sin here.  While I may not agree with any particular one of you, I do very much appreciate that you all speak up and say what you have to say.  I is not the Republicans nor the Democrats, the left wing nor the right, the gay, the straight, the black, the white, the tall, the shirt, or any other segment of our society that makes us what we are.  It is the fact that you and I can sit here and openly disagree on anything at all.  I do want every one of you to know that I have absolutely nothing personally against you.  No matter how much we agree or disagree on any/all subjects, I can still consider each of you friends and I do not think any less of you as a human being merely because we disagree.  I only hope that the same feeling can be reflected.

i went to my local county fair last night.  had a blast.  fair food is the best.  the people there are the best.      but . . . i would really hate to have a daughter nowadays.  every middle school/freshman high school looking girl there, was dressed like a fucking jail bait whore.
