i love stupid people who scream up and down the stars and stripes about no censorship, freedom of speech and the press . . . until its something they dont like.

You can dislike something and think it's disgusting and tacky without censoring it. I think Rolling Stone should not be glorifying that guy and I think it's a major lack of judgement but I wouldn't for a second advocate censoring or punishing them.

how many magazine covers has bin laden been on?
Well, it's a little different because Rolling Stone is essentially glorifying/promoting its cover subjects. In probably 95% of the cases, the person on the cover wants to be featured there in order to sell something. Time or Newsweek is not in the same category, as they are a news magazine.
Okay now give me two more examples and I will admit that I am wrong.
Manson? Check.
Bush? Check.
Dr. John? Ehhh, I'll allow it, check.

OKAY JERKS I WAS WRONG OKAY GOSH

That wasn't directed at your comment - just that there's precedent.  And it's that RS has a history of creating controversy to remain relevant.  If you don't like it, don't buy the magazine, cancel your subscription and most importantly of all, don't talk about it.  I haven't thought about a RS cover in years and now they're trending - for good and bad.

i admit it . . . i smile when relaxer is wrong.  i still cant get over that story you told, with toked out teddy.  right on.  and i only smile, because i love you.
I love you too bubeleh and your post yesterday about why you are angry really got to me deeply and is why you'll always be a dear to me even when you post like a fucking loon
coolio
Has anyone done general admission standing for a show at the Hamilton?  Sight angles, sound OK?  How far from the stage is this "GA bar area"?  Can you see from a bar stool, if there are any?

ok this is all IMHO and based on one show a long while ago:

I think the sound is fabulous everywhere…its not that far..sight lines are great if you're in the front of the bar area.. otherwise you might have people in your way… there is a good amount of border real estate (ie, with view) and two GA bar areas.. the lower one I think is better… I don't really think you'd see much from a bar stool of which there are some

I would pretty much only catch a show from the GA bar area myself as I hate sitting and ordering a meal when i am at a concert.. what i find is that at some shows one can eventually just move to the very front in front of the stage and dance there and nobody cares..maybe not right at the beginning.. so i guess i think the play is to hang out at the GA bar area and then if people are dancing move to the very front..

hope this helps somewhat
Hoping my plan of running 18 miles that morning doesn't interfere with the standing room GA plan I just hatched….
Unless you like being in the back at a show and are as tall as atomicfront, the GA bar area is probably the worst ticket in the house at the Hamilton.

The food is marginally better at the Hamilton than at the Birchmere. But there aren't any food purchase requirements for sitting at the tables at either of those venues.
I agree GA is just OK for the Hamilton.  At least at the show I was at the last row of tables in front of Ga seemed to chatty people at them.
