Not surprising…alcoholism is so rampant in the former soviet union it's sad.  South Korea and the US are the big surprises for me on that list.

I thought the sad part is that after we invade a country they don't drink alcohol.  Come on force American lifestyle on them.
it's more like the countries we invade are islamic and they didn't drink to begin with
I spent a year in South Korea.  I never have, nor ever will, drink that much alcohol again.  Especially Soju.

Every two feet there seemed to be a bar.  Most had themes…

no, the bald guy hanging out with all of the tweens. They'd be blonde and blue eyes if this was the Lumineers show.
Well I have long hair.  And I am tall and would never wear glasses like that.  I don't get it

You'd be the old creepy dude at a Monsters and Men show.
And I'd be the creepy old guy at…well just about any show I go to. But at least I'm not a 50 year old guy with long hair.

i used to enjoy the "theres the old guy" at phish shows back in the day.  younger people are cruel, because they have nothing.  people with nothing are cruel.  the phish scene has changed some, because all those people are now old . . . but they are still cruel to the people who have something they do not.  but all people are, i assume.  that picture is creepy, but i feel for the guy.  hes there with his daughter, as a protective father . . . or good god, i would not want to think why else he would be right there.  he does have that "taper" look of yore olde days.

Yeah I am sure Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp feel really bad that you think they look creepy with long hair.

There were a lot of older people at the Monster and Men show in Philly.  Not many teens.  I would almost everyone was at least 21 as the beer lines were crazy long.  Lumineers everyone I would say the crowd was mostly 25 to 35.  I don't get where you are coming from.  Are you supposed to stop going to see bands play live when you turn 40?

I tend to think you don't go to shows where the average age is 15, but I could be wrong.
long hair rulz… unfortunately balding men (must be like a majority or close) and those who have to get haircuts on their way to sell out city as they desperately seek to blend in have to put down what they can't have..

i am feeling real cranky so i'm outta here.

Why would you care if you like the music.     I haven't been to shows were the average age is that young in a long time.  Well maybe last years virgin fest was pretty young but you were probably at that show as well.
im slowing down my shows toward fourty.  when you see so many shows since high school . . . the appeal loses its head, and you are left with the same ole flat warm beer out of a damn plastic cup.  i hold my pee, because i fucking hate the bathrooms there, the merch is out of fucking control in price, people are rude and shitty at shows unless you are seeing some boring mainstream act where people do actually feel lucky to be there, sound and sightlines suck unless you pay to be up front, and good luck getting those tickets.  getting there, getting home, spending all that money.  i enjoy my couch streaming shows now with all the bathroom breaks i want and kitchen stops and beer stops and everything else that comes from pausing live stream.
