See y'all in a week or two…

according to the paper plate posted in the club office (our high tech messaging system), ratbastard is out of surgery and doing well.

good!
I am home. EXTREMELY weak but ion the mend.  Every part of me is sore, especially the incision site in the back of my head, as well as my back and knees where most of my surgical implants over the years have been.  Go back to the doctor on Friday to get staples and stitches out.  Will know more then.  Funny thing is I had to keep talking him down to weaker and weaker pain killers for the prescription he wanted to write me.  He did comment that everyone else who want something different had wanted stronger.  I was the first ever to make him go milder by quite a dress on the pain killers.  No way in hell I was taking any more oxy or percocet.  Anyway I am back off to sleep for several more hours.  Talk to y'all again in a few days…  (Go Eagles)
Woo hoo! The Rat is back! Very happy you pulled through the operation okay. I, for one, was worried about you.

We many not always see eye to eye on everything but you are one of us and that was enough to get me all concerned. Hope your recovery is fast and smooth and that you are back in action in no time flat.
My random thought contribution…ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET

On Saturday, my daughter and I went shopping at Giant. We proceeded to participate in some kind of silly treasure hunt game they had set up. At the end, you turned in your game card and they checked it to see if you were the grand prize winner. All the while, my daughter was skipping through the store proclaiming that we were going to be the winners. I tried to explain to her to not get too excited, that only one shopper all day could be the winner.

We checked out, she took the card up, and voila, we were the grand prize winners of $400 in Giant gift cards. Guess I need to take my daughter lottery ticket shopping.

Then a couple hours later, just to prove that life aint too grand, I flipped over my mountain bike handlebars, broke my spare pair of eyeglasses i was wearing, and fractured my rib. Could have been much worse, as I hit the ground head first, but my helmet saved me.
as long as your glasses & co-pay cost less than $400, you're still in the black (and blue).  uh… congrats?
sorry to hear that james ford

at least a good lesson for your children on helmets…
I just love the way Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu goes on all the Sunday news programs talking to us Americans in terms of Football analogies "We don't want them to score a touchdown!"  And lets not forget the classic bit equating Iran's government to the mobs taking over embassies "You don't want THEM to get nuclear weapons, do youuuuu???" This guy is so out there..so beyond what is acceptable and so overplaying his hand that he may just one day wake up to find he's got no clothes on…..

Ooof… good luck with the cracked ribs. Cracked two in in Rosaryville St. Park in early August and they took nearly a month to heal.
that looks like a middle-aged version of Firebutt McGee…
As long as they don't all have Brazilian waxes, I'm ok with that.

Given the proportion of dumb people to smart people who breed, it will probably be a bunch of good looking dumb people. In satin baseball jackets.

Mittens has become a giant Mr. Burns looking tumor on the Republican party's ass. http://electoral-vote.com Last week, the senate totals for each of the parties were flipped and it looked as though the GOP were set to take the Senate. Keep running your mouth Mitt! Maybe the House will flip?

so for decades the term "African americans" was used.. now it seems to be "blacks"… is this the case?

$225 minimum for Minibar now? I thought it would stay the same or if anything, would cost less after the expansion.

people are beyond loaded in this town these days…
Yeah, I doubt they will have trouble filling it up for the foreseeable future.
Still kind of sad, though. $150 (price before they expanded) for a meal is still insane but someone making an average wage in this town could feasibly swing it once if he/she really wanted to. $225 totally prices out most people.

See, this is why certain types of people in DC haven't a fucking clue what it's like for the average person beyond the Beltway.
