I lost my power for about 6 hrs on Friday night. Can't complain that much.
TBD
i lost . . . my virginity once when the power went out all night. god i remember it just like it was yesterday. best four hours in a bed, ever.
Is there any band where each one of its members wrote hit songs?
other than Queen, I mean.
Freddie - Boho Rhapsody
Brian - We Will Rock You
Roger - Radio Gaga
John - Another One Bites the Dust
I can't think of one, and remember that Ringo didn't really write any hits

"Yellow Submarine" was pretty big. Didn't he write that?
Edit: I guess not.

Hall AND Oats.
The Band.
But they didn't really have hits.
But they didn't really have hits.
who needs hits . . . when you are the band.
Robbie Robertson wrote all of the Band's hits, didn't he?
And Oates didn't write anything on his own.
Anyway, you can't just throw out band names, you've gotta list the HIT songs each member wrote. Otherwise I'm right/God

Fleetwood Mac
Don't Stop - Christine McVie
Dreams - Stevie Nicks
Go Your Own Way - Lindsey Buckingham
The Chain - all 5 of them

The Mac is a good one but I don't buy into this 'the whole band wrote it' thing. Lindsey wrote The Chain, the others probably prosed some lines and ideas, and maybe John McVie was in the room at the time. I'm only interested in self-contained bands, as in not a Steely Dan thing where its a couple dudes and session musicians, and songs that are only credited to one person. Queen really was pretty unique this way.
well it's 3 out of 5 for Fleetwood Mac..that's still pretty good

I was without power for about 18 hours. Thanks to my hard work and the personal responsibility I took in making a wise decision, I own a generator. I have been running with power the whole time. And to think I didn't even need Bammy to pass a law requiring everyone to buy a generator or a program for the gummint to give me a "free" one!
are you sayin those that don't own a generator are not responsible?
you really take the cake… at at time when people are strugglin and dying you come in with your gloating i'm responsible you're not baloney over a natural disaster? turning it into an anti-Obama screed?.. there's been some real assholes on this site but you are numero 1 you fucking LUMP OF SHIT.
Just rattling some cages poking some fun. Lighten up dude, you are seriously going to have a coronary before too long, which I guess will be my fault and I'll have to pay your hospital bills! :): ) :)

This whole survival of the fitness thing you got going is pretty cool. So maybe I should just steal your generator. After all we don't need no laws protecting your property from others. I might have been wise enough to buy a baseball bat and use it to disable you from preventing me from taking your generator and you have health care coverage so I won't feel too bad about your concussion. And then I could post on here if you want electricity you should have been resposible enough to buy a baseball bat.
LOL well thought out retort there my friend! Except you are banking on the concept that I was not wise enough to purchase some level of personal protection greater than a baseball bat… :)

Has Stevie's whiskey voice started going away yet (thus making her much more tolerable) or has it just gotten moreso with age?

Felder, Henley, Frey - Those Shoes, one of the best Eagle songs ever… Quit deeper meanings to the tune! You can't do that once you started wearing those shoes.

Not that it is any degree of a hit, but RS wrote Octopus's Garden to my knowledge.
