Which thread do i post this in?

I was visiting my mom this past weekend, and my mom's elderly diabetes ridden neighbor said he'd leave some LP's on his back deck and i could come over and take anything i wanted at my leisure.

So I go over, and the guy has a treasure trove of great stuff (mostly country, but some other stuff as well, from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Much of it in great condition. I took about 60 albums (a small fraction of what he had) and left some cash for him with my mom. SCORE!

at some point, maybe not now, maybe later, but at some point, that point in which you realize it . . . getting excited about old records, is dumb.  but im dumb, so is it?

I'm using 12 vacation days over the next three weeks to stay home and entertain a six year old. Listening to those records is going to be a key to my sanity!

No, I would not block atomic. If I was making a Best of or Favorite list of people on this forum, he would be in my top five. 

although not country Sinatra Jobim is just a fantastic record!

one of my favorites..  I have a few copies in mono and stereo, the half-follow up Sinatra and Company (including a white label) and I have the Brazilian only double  LP which compiles all the Sinatra with Jobim stuff… yeah you could say I'm a fan.. well I love Frank..

i feel it is me.  the effects last ten to twelve hours, tops.

Egypt is such a fiasco… and such a dangerous and very sad development…never quite understood why the same military that kept Mubarak in power for decades was somehow a credible guarantor of democracy and interpreter of the people's will…. they make Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood look like Mahatma Gandhi..

The naivete of the Obama administration, and the establishment media, presenting Morsi's overthrow as some democratic act still astounds me… I think, honestly, there may have been factors at play such as Israel not wanting an Islamist neighbor, that may help explain it…

I think they were doing things like attacking christians.  People were protesting them in great numbers.  I don't know why we supported the Muslim Brotherhood in the first place.  Anyway stop providing aide to them no matter who is the leader.  If they need food or medicine provide that but don't give cash or military equipment.  I think our plan as a government is to encourage conflict and then sell weapons.

egypt has been good for two things and two things only . . . cats and pyramids.  now they are good for a third thing:  being fucking retards who think a created religion is more important than natural humans.  we have fuckheads like that in our country too, but we lock them up in hospitals and drug companies get rich off of them.
