USA GUNS from google "how many guns are in the USA":
A minority of Americans own guns, but just how many is unclear. More than a third of Americans say they or someone in their household owns a gun. There are by various estimates anywhere from 270 million to 310 million guns in the United States ? close to one firearm for every man, woman and child.

And therein lies the problem with guns in the USA…even if we banned them outright (which will never happen)…we'd need to deal with the 300 million guns (that we know of) that are already here

And even if banned criminals will still get as many guns as they want.
ANd if they get caught with them, they go to prison.

::)
Stop with the whole "criminals wills till get them" BS.

If that were the case, why don't all of the criminals in South Korea have guns?

They are criminals after all.
It is just my opinion.

Keep your guns.

Have fun.

I didnt say ban drugs.

2013 Firearm Deaths
http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/injury.htm
All firearm deaths

    Number of deaths: 32,351
    Deaths per 100,000 population: 10.4

VS

2001 - 2014 Deaths in the US war in Afghanistan
http://icasualties.org/oef/
2349
For a WAR that is OVER a DECADE.

So tell me again, why is having guns so great?  10 times as many people die of gun deaths in the USA every year compared to the WHOLE of the Afghanistan war.
.
How many Afghan war deaths would there be if US soldiers didn't carry guns?

I didnt say the military shouldnt have guns for wars.

But we shouldnt be over there anyways.

So they death toll SHOULD BE ZERO.
We could stop going to pointless wars though.
We could stop letting defense contractors and arms manufacturers control our government.

I bet the rate in my neighborhood is way lower.

Is it because way less people in my neighborhood own guns?
I dont know.  YOu say "I bet" without providing any numbers or links to back it up.

Anyways, why don't we go back to discussing Foo Fighters shows?
You've been hitting the energy drinks pretty hard today haven't you?
Also, future warfare will be almost 100% conducted by drones.

Hmmm good question.

No.
I live in Fairfax County.
Population 1.13 million
2013 homicides:8
Homicides per 100,000 people=~0.7
And I bet there's quite a few ex-military good old boys in Fairfax County who own guns. As well as Muslims.

Oh, and the Foo Fighters still suck.

You say your place is safer than South Korea?  Korea's rate was 0.06.

Your county's rate is 0.7.

Your county is more dangerous than South Korea in regards to gun violence.
I live in Arlington.
Population 225,000
2013 homicides: 0
Homicides per 100,000 people = #DIV/0!

My place is safer than South Korea.
What I am saying is that my county is significantly below the national average (like 7% of the national average) with likely an average number of gun owners compared to nationally. How do you explain that?

There are plenty of places in the USA where the number is low.
