TBD

Mr. Natural, did you ever consider that maybe you ought to get your anger issues under control rather than constantly expecting everyone else to adjust to your peculiarities? If they use the word Spic, hey, I'll get angry WITH you. Hispanic, Latino, whatever, just deal with it. Yeah, okay, you can get specific with exactitudes but, seriously, is that really worth the stress?

According to the origins of the word Hispanic, and what I know about some far roots of my ancestry, I'm, in part, Hispanic. According to the definition of Latino with it's Latin roots, my deep French roots would consider me a Latina. Hey, cool! But somehow, I suspect that if I went around calling myself Hispanic and Latino, Hutch would blow a gasket. As it is, I wouldn't bother only because it would be too confusing. I'll stick with Euro Mutt but not because it makes life more stress-free for ol' Mr. Natural. Chill out, man. We're all part of the Human Race… except maybe for Kosmo who is from a whole other Funky Mod world of Vinyl.  ;)
How bout them Redskins!!!!!

What??
Kosmo??? I"m the one with 10,000 records in the basement.

Now I AM angry.

;D
Hey Hutch, as a Latino does it make you angry that some people try to argue that Mike Trout deserves the MVP more than Miguel Cabrera, in spite of Miggy leading his team to the playoffs (that which Mike Trout didn't do in spite of having Albert Pujols for a teammate) and being on the cusp of the first triple crown in 45 freaking years?
When did they add new parking restrictions in the Black Cat/9:30 residential areas?  There's lots of signage now with restrictions for zone 1-2 permits-only and 7am-midnight time restrictions.  Not every block, but still all over the place.  Pay attention to the signs when you park.
Fine, i'll stay out of the city and keep my money in the suburbs. See how they like that.

I'm sure the residents of this neighborhood, whom the Residential Parking Program benefits, would like that just fine.

No.

Although when you put it that way….

I wonder if it also has something to do with Miguel Cabrera being arrested a few times…
Guess they'll just have to pay more taxes. No biggie. DC residents looooove playing taxes!

It has become really hard to tell where and when one can park…. its very confusing….all over DC actually.. I was going to park on Georgia Ave before Afghan Whigs but the signs confused me and even after asking a police officer I was unsure so I moved on and lucked out on a spot nearer to the club.

DC seems to get a perverse pleasure in screwing over non-residents…. the metro system is a disgrace with their $1 extra charge for those without the smartrip card.

i will continue to completely tune out any complaints like this until we enact a commuter tax.

more specifically, DC needs to continue to aggressively implement performance parking.  parking on public city streets should be priced to accurately reflect the cost.  this is a good, concise summary:

"Dupont Circle, like most of DC's busy neighborhoods, has far more demand for parking than supply of on-street spaces. Right now, we allocate the limited resource of spaces in one way. The meeting will discuss whether to allocate them in a different way."

EDIT: link to DC performance parking plan for H Street

Really? I think non-residents should at least be able to tell where they can park!

Listen I lived in DC for 15 years so  I hear you… I just don't think people shoud be ripped off with things like the paper fare card.. Yeah, lets screw over tourists! That will show them!

what's so confusing? parking seems pretty straightforward to me. every parkable street i've seen has signs that designates hours and limits, zone, and street sweeping. if there's no sign, it's fair game for anyone. if it's meters, the meter calls out the restrictions.

Many areas- maybe the less Tony areas- don't really have clear parking signs and the meters don't tell you anything.. At least that was the case on Georgia Ave. by the 930. I THINK i would have been ok parking but there wasn't really a way to tell. On top of that there is an army of people out ticketing the second you make a misstep and they sometimes ticket people who are parked LEGALLY.
It is strange how little attention Miguel Cabrera winning baseball's triple crown has gotten….

Commuter tax in to DC. That's the most retarded suggestion I've heard in a long time.
