diaereses planet?
Diaereses is the pluralized form of the correct name for the diacritic commonly misidentified as an umlaut. But by all means, continue to make diarrhea puns, crumbums.
Ahh.  A grammar nerd and a prescriptivist.  Killer combination, Jerry.  Comedy gold.
Surprised that a woman would date you. But maybe none do. Or you'd be married by now, instead of hypothetically dating.  ;D

I self-identify as a "pedantic superstar."

I'm tempted to go back through your thread and see if you hold either of these to be true personally.

I use the Oxford commas religiously and would welcome a thorough review of my missives.

Unfortunately, the ALT+number characters required to do a diaeresis displays all wonky on virtually all messageboards, but in my handwritten correspondence I use them. I've rigged my Microsoft Word directory and blackberry to autocorrect automatically to the proper characters.

Well, I don't usually ask for letters I've written to people back. Although, now that you've put the idea in my head, my assistant really should be photocopying all of my personal correspondence for my files.
people with assistants . . . are hot.

"It is not enough to say, 'We must drop bass.' It is not enough to say, 'We must rock the crazy beats,'" President Clinton said Monday in a secret live appearance at D.C.'s famed underground The 930 Club. "If American techno is to become the world's leader once again, we must drop much bass; we must rock mad, phat-ass, crazy beats; and we must do so quick-fast in a hurry, 24-7, 365. And I am out."

There is a Representative that is on the record as saying that wind is a finite resource.  I'll tell what isn't a finite resource.  I suggest we put him in a boat and hope it falls off the edge.

She also said that they have the kids washing the tables (isn't that the job of the custodian/lunch lady?), so when my wife took my daughter to stand away from the table while that was being done, she was further reprimanded by the lunch lady , "You're supposed to remain seated at the table at all times."
