Things Smackie Thinks You Need to Know...

Angels trade Morales to Seattle for Vargas.
May The Force be with you. Always.
I got a Trout jersey, Trout T-shirt, Angels cap, United Jersey and United jacket. Also a qi charger for my Nexus.

Hoya had a boy.

I lose. Congrats buddy for giving yourself a reason to not go to the movies next Christmas.
(I'll spare the iPhone thread)

Got it and since ditched it.  Battery was killing me.  Just couldn't hang with it.  Other than that it was sweet.

Strange.  I can go a day and a half - best battery of any Android phone I've used.  Which carrier did you go with and how was your email setup (gmail plus corporate/ POP/IMAP/EXCHANGE)?  Those seem to be the big two - searching for carrier signal and amount of email.

The next two would be widgets running and screen on time.

T-mobile…good signal just about everywhere I go (except for parts of the subway during commute).  Exchange, Gmail Facebook.  Don't get tons of email.  Screen set to auto brightness.  Played with all the settings/widgets/power management etc.  Tweaked it a ton.  At the end of the day I just got tired of worrying about it.  If i had to go somewhere and use the GPS i'd definiately need a charge well before the end of the day.

I got a even swap for a brand new Note II so i'm trying that out for a while.  It's a little big but I'm VERY impressed with Samsung.  And the battery is OUTRAGEOUS.

My Nexus coulda been a lemon.  If i ever want to find out I can sell this boat and buy another new nexus and come out 150-200 bucks ahead  ;D

Thanks.  Will report back (if you don't mind).  Were you by chance a Google Current's user or did you at least play with it a bit?  I discovered a bug there that would drain my battery.

Good luck with the Note II.  Used one for the first time over the New Years holiday (one of the guys in our party was a Samsung employee so we exchanged phones for a while).  Huge device, but a lot of fun.
Not trying to start a war (I would have posted in the iPhone thread if I was), but this article sums up a lot of what I feel about the iOS6/iPhone 5 vs Jelly Bean/Nexus 4 debate.

An iPhone Lovers Confession: I Switched to the Nexus 4. Completely.

the latest installment of Things Sweetcell Thinks Smackie Needs to Know is a doozie… containing both a high and a low for the smacked one:

Game? What game? There's a pretty woman in the stands!

Being a Domer, this was the highlight of the telecast for me.

Not discussed in that article was Arizona Cardinal Defensive End Darnell who tweeted her his number, which was meant to be a private direct message, but ended up being a public tweet.  He also asked her to meet him at a strip joint.  Nothing says I'm in it for real like a date at a strip club.
pure epic.  the internet truly is humanity's greatest invention.

I've told that story a few times since it happened and nobody believes me because it's so outrageous.  I'm glad somebody finally wrote it.

Epic indeed.
This is Legit.

It's starts on Thursday at 10:30 on FX.  The first episode is a story of Jim helping his childhood friend with Muscular Dystrophy accomplish his one last dying wish.

Should be a heart warming affair.

i can only hope that the TV version of the story holds up to the stand-up version, 'cause the latter is a masterpiece.  based on that little preview it might be some tough sledding.  i'll still be watching.

Ditched the Note…Galaxy S3.  I'm done for a while.  From Nexus to Note to Galaxy, broke even.

Unlimited hotpsot would allow me to find the end of porn on the internet.

That's just silly. You of all people should know that there is no end.

This is also Smackie approved, though knowledge of it's truth won't stop me from looking.
