My favorite chart was the "Profanity in Rap Over Time" where they analyzed the 5 most popular albums of each year with the peak being in 2001.  I too thought Eminem would have been responsible for this, but none of his albums were included that year, or any year.  Where Eminem did have a significant impact though was in the Homophobic Index - off the charts.

On a Michigan Athletics message board I frequent (mgoblog.com), after every loss in the football season, someone compiles the number of times each curse word is used in the gameday thread and syncs it up with what the score was at any given time in a serious of graphs far more complex than this, actually. I'll try to find you an example.

Coincidentally, I've always thought you'd get a kick out of it but it seemed a bit of an esoteric leap to be like, "hey, smackie, come look at our swearing analysis," just on a lark.

from my research on it, but this is just my opinion . . . roku destroys it for apps offered, especially with rokus secret apps.

I own a Roku2 and multiple Chromecasts, and I see no reason to purchase another box that does the same thing as these. 

These devices are all content driven, as walkonby said, and right now I see nothing compelling to get me to purchase yet another streaming device.

The real danger here is if Amazon (perhaps when?) Amazon removes it's Instant Video from Roku and closes it's Ecosystem - then is the $99 device plus my Prime Membership worth the free content?  Right now I'm arguing no, but it's just a matter of time before these devices start bidding huge dollars to be the sole provider of X content.  That's when shit gets ugly and we all run out of HDMI ports in our equipment. 

I agree, haven't seen a compelling reason to drop my Roku at this point
getting ready to drop cable and getting a little anxious for some reason

So how are others doing this?

I have Netflx streaming and Amazon prime …frankly I think both kinda suck
rarely can find anything to watch…although I did love HOC
I need to get someones HBOgo account one of these days

only channels I watch are Comedy Central, FX and AMC

I nearly reinvigorated the NHL thread to talk about how classy Teemu was for doing that, but I didn't want to make it look like I was rubbing it in the Caps fans who had a rough year.

But since you asked, it was awesome.  He has been a huge ambassador for the sport in Orange County (his kids play on a high school team in OC with other players kids and they won the national high school tournament this year).  Even my high school has a hockey team now, when they didn't even have a roller hockey team when I was there - we played floor hockey on the gym floor.

It was a great moment.  Of course, I'd like to see it one more time with Lord Stanley's cup raised as well.

Selanne had long been one of my favorite non-Red Wings. Heck of a career.

I'd be in favor of us renewing the NHL thread. We have Pens, Wings, Ducks, Habs and other fans on here, it's not about rubbing it in the Caps fans faces. This is setting up as a great playoff. 6 of the 8 series in the first round are going to be hyper-competitive.

First Josh Hamilton gets inured running to first base and now Kole Calhoun is injured running to first base.  My Fantasy baseball team is being decimated by injuries because the Angels coaching staff can't do something as simple as telling guys the proper way to run to first???  That is something little league coaches can teach why can't the Angels staff?

Obviously you didn't watch the game, or Calhoun slip slightly after running past first base.

Anyhow, the bullpen takes the blame for both the loss and the injury:
