Things Smackie Thinks You Need to Know...

haven't yet removed the issue of "space" as that is no longer an issue for devices in the modern world.

i agree that storage is cheap, but not free.  my music file collection is huge, i wouldn't want it to take up 6X the space it currently does.  i'm sure i'm not the only one who does not have such free storage capacity.  not everyone is sitting on a NAS.

adding a few teras would cost me $60+ plus a few hours of my time for an internal drive, or deal with an external multi-terabyte drive ($50 for low performance, $100+ for something decent)… but why would i want to either of those things when there is no benefit? (if not a disadvantage)…
I found this article to be a fantastic read. As my default "sports fan who is also a lawyer," I think you will enjoy it as well.

Sorry - I missed this.  I can't beleive they wrote that entire article without mentioning Master P, the "archtiect" of that deal.  I've had the pleasure of talking to Leigh Steinberg about this deal and he said something along the lines of it being the worst deal ever made.  Even worse than the Ditka trade that broughr Ricky to New Orleans.  (this conversation was before the Redskins-Rams trade, which I think was worse).

Also, how underated was Tiki Barber?

He will never get his due because everyone who has ever met him – or even heard him speak on TV – hates his guts. He's seems thoroughly unlikable.
I just figured it out. Sturgill is the White Director.

Who of your contemporaries inspires you?
Fearless hip-hoppers like Kendrick Lamar, Run the Jewels and Chance. I thought D'Angelo's record was criminally underrated. I'd like to spend a month at Frank Ocean's house.

The Ballad of Justin Bobby

"This is how it went down: A couple years ago, with Justin Bobby largely removed from the public eye, I was joking around on Twitter with a friend, wondering whatever happened to him. Where have you gone, Justin Bobby? I tweeted. Not two minutes went by and Justin Bobby was sliding into my DMs, ready to engage?"
now that will get people to act!
Maybe the Hillary campaign could use that tactic
Oh Canada.  You're so damn cute sometimes….

so Smakie…are you a part of the suit that wants full purchase price instead of the 10bill settlement?

No, but I'll take it if it's offered from the Class Action.  That other suit is going to drag on for years and I need to move on.

I argued in my letter to the judge that I'd like sale value on Sept 1 instead of trade in value, in addition to lost registration fees and sales tax.  I would never trade in a car as it's only a win for the dealer - I've personally sold every car I've ever replaced.  A personal sale is not possible now with this car, so it's unfair that my only option is a trade-in to the exact dealer who killed the sales market.  Seems illogical to me.

The only advantage for the trade in value would be if they also gave me a sales tax break in my state for the trade in value.  When you trade in a car, in some states you don't pay sales tax on the trade in value, but only on the difference between trade in and purchase price.  That would save me about $2000.

I'm also negotiating a deal with the dealer who sold me the Audi, so the sooner we have a bench mark to start from the sooner we can come to a resolution.
Facebook tells me the epic Smackie and Sweetcell U2 show in Vegas was 7 years ago today (the 23rd).

I think my head still hurts.  Also, I posted from a Windows Phone back then.

#neverforget #cantremember
I remember walking across the desert to get to a road where we thought it would be easier to get a cab.  When we finally got to the gentlemen's club, the door guy thanked you for dressing up and pointed at your dirty sneakers. #neverforget #ithinkiremember
I am considering the purchase of a Netgear Arlo starter pack. Is there a similar product in this space that you would recommend above this?
I actually have no experience with security cameras, sorry.  I was offered the Nest Cam to try out, but declined because I didn't want to know that Cheech just lays around all day and does nothing.  Or that he parties with other neighborhood dogs.  I just didn't need to know.
14 long years ago today…..

Do you suspect the nanny is tippling the aquavit and replacing it with water?
