Things Smackie Thinks You Need to Know...

I believe you can order from multiple people at once.

So you can call up Google express and say "Run by giant, get me a box of ice cream sandwiches.  Swing through PetSmart and get me a 40 pound box of cat litter, and while you're at it, my cat is thirsty, so head by Costco and get me a bottle of Kirkland 18-year old Sherry Cask scotch."  And, they'll bring it all at once.

Is that right?

Yes, this is true.  I can mix my Target order with my Whole Foods order, throw in the dog food from Pet Smart ans it's all delivered by the time I get home from work.

Giant is not available out here, so I can't answer that one specifically, but I'd imagine the Peapod service is similar.  You can compare prices with Google Express though…

Also, alcohol is a new addition and I believe it's Northern CA only.  For now.

The day I can get Italian cordials delivered directly to my door is the beginning of the downfall of the Julian empire.

Or usher in a new era…Julian's America for All…guess that would devalue it?

I wouldn't worry - I don't think Google has Richmond on their radar.

This can be arranged.

This state's antiquated alcohol beverage control laws would be a larger hurdle to overcome. Google holds no exclusive rights to same-day-to-your-door delivery.

I would assume a healthy markup would make my elderflower liqueurs and anises even more pricey for the common man!

Who said anything about Google?!?  We can do this ourselves.

I don't know how I ever missed this movie coming out, but if my local Blockbuster has it, I will be reviewing it by the end of the weekend:

Tiptoes, starring Gary Oldman, Kate Beckinsale, Matthew McConaughey and Patricia Arquette.

Don't miss the Trailer.
Apple Deleted Rivals Songs from Users iPods

Somewhere on this board I talked about this back in the day.
I had this watch before they made this smackie approved commercial:

this watch was pretty impressive in person too.
This photo reminded me of a conversation I had a couple weeks ago at a Roaring 20's party.

The conversation centered on fashion and whether or not the 20's were the best time to go back to for fashion.  I disagreed, citing a number of diffeent arguments, and thought that while the flapper dresses we nice, the the mini skirt and gogo boot era were the ones for me.  Take Smackie back to that time!

Kosmette and I recently watched the BBC series "The Supersizers Go" streaming on Hulu.  Where they take a couple back to various time periods in history and have them eat and experience the lifestyles of those times.  We both agreed that 20s in UK would have been a great time period to live.  That series is highly recommended, it's very well researched and presented.

Perhaps you can assist me with a side-question. Hulu Plus is the one subscription video service I don't have (that I'm aware of). Is there anything in the way of exclusive content, either foreign series no one else has or stuff they've produced themselves?
