This is like a Smackie Dream come true:

Snowstorm Leaves Dozens Stranded for Days in a Remote U.K. Pub

A crowd had gathered on Friday night to listen to Noasis, an Oasis tribute band. On Monday, most of them were finally able to go home.
Smackie has probably already seen this but it makes most sense here

I'm not putting any female family members of mine on a boat with the male members of X…..so I guess I'm going by myself!

Because of the implication?
Last time I saw X, which was at the 9:30 Club in the early naughts, after the show Billy Zoom followed my then girlfriend into the ladies room.  GGW was thankfully there to rescue her…

How do you know she wanted to be "rescued"?
I’m feeling ‘22!
Happy Canadian New Year!
What was the first album you ever bought with your own money?

Alana Haim: It’s so embarrassing. It’s Tubthumper, by Chumbawamba. The first album I bought with my own money was Chumbawamba. It has a lime green cover with a purple person on it. I remember it was a huge deal. I made my parents take me to Tower Records and I bought a Chumbawamba CD. And that has to be my answer for the rest of my life.
so what is the brick and mortar music hall?  saw one of Kozmo's bands was playing there and don't recall that SF venue?

Used to be Coda (jazz/supper club in the mission nearly under the freeway between Zeitgeist and Rainbow grocery), but a partnership that includes an owner of The Independent took it over about 10 years ago.  They've had some problems with noise and neighbors, and a shitty partner who has since been ousted, but have for the most part been pretty successful for upcoming independent bands.

and her next tour will definitely open with star-crossed, one can almost see the stage lighting and her emerging from the smoke to open the show with it

Same.  I saw her at the Outside Lands Festival and figured that was probably the last time.  Greatly enjoyed her shows at The Fillmore and The Fox more….
I heart her so…..but why on earth did the other guy sing backup?  Dude, it Kacey Musgraves, STFU!

Also, the piano player also not very good.

I am intending to go to this show at the CapOne. I will post show banter it. I have never seen her, and this is not the right time, but too much $$ invested.
