The Trout deal is a sign of things to come…after the season starts they'll announce the rest.

The Angels GM must be the worst in baseball.  I am so glad the Orioles didn't end up with him.  Just pay Trout a million this year and work on an extension after the season.

The longer you wait on a stud,  the less chance you have of extending his deal.

From this point point forward,  compare the Nats and Stras and Harper,  and the O's and Machado.

I'm giving you a pass on JJ.
I can't begin to tell you how happy I am that Cosmos us back.

samsung galaxy sfive . . . out april eleventh.  discuss.  i just got my sfour in november, and love it, but like most phones nowadays, i use, roughly, ten percent of what the bad boy can do.  discuss, part two.
I don't know if this is the right thread but this seems to be where technical discussions happen.  I was thinking of getting Bluetooth speakers.  Is the sound quality decent on them or is it going to sound like crap?

Compared to what?

The short answer is yes, they will sound like crap.  But it really depends on what your expectations are and what you consider to be good sound.
We've covered this:

But truthfully, a BT speaker should only be used as a last resort and for their convenience.  They are not a daily driver.

Even my wireless rear speakers sound better than most BT speakers, but I would never use wireless for my front channels.

Oh I think I will reply here as I think this is a better place to prevent clutter.  So I guess then I am going to not get a bluetooth speaker.  Someone suggested Jawbone JAMBOX which I think is pretty awful.  I saw a demo unit at best buy and the sound quality from it was worse than my Ipad Air built in speakers.

I saw some more costly bluetooth speakers that sounded pretty good at best buy but I guess they probably weren't using bluetooth and probably was a plugged demo.

It depends on what you're using it for.  If you're out side or in a public place with no access to electricity, and the music merely serves as background noise, then a bluetooth speaker can be convenient.

If you indoors anywhere, there is no need for a BT speaker.  Ever.

I've had the JBL On Stage II for years and it sounds much better than any BT speaker I've tried.  It's battery operated and requires an aux cable, but I'm fine with the hassle of a cable for the sound quality.
Ok thanks for the information.
Mostly for Julian…

Angels dealt SS Romine to Tigers for Jose Alvarez.

Not sure what the Angels see in Alvarez, but an arm is an arm I suppose.  Even better if it's left handed.

As for Romine - not much of a bat, but a good defender for the 3 months you're without Iglesias.
Almost 10 years too late….

Here's some more analysis.

There's even a downloadable spreadsheet.

I love me some data.  And old skool rap.

My favorite chart was the "Profanity in Rap Over Time" where they analyzed the 5 most popular albums of each year with the peak being in 2001.  I too thought Eminem would have been responsible for this, but none of his albums were included that year, or any year.  Where Eminem did have a significant impact though was in the Homophobic Index - off the charts.

At least misogyny is on the way down.
