The fact that you can not see the difference between the effects on human adults not going to work versus the effects on human kids not going to school, makes me believe that you missed your calling as a serial killer.
COVID-19 2020
Perceptive….

If there's no real point in people going back to offices, is there a point to kids going back to in person school?
assuming this is a serious question: yes, kids absolutely need to get back to school, at least kids below a certain age. socialization cannot be taught over zoom. kids under - i dunno - 10? cannot be expected to have the motivation and discipline to do virtual learning.
somehow we managed to make spring 2020 school work over zoom, likely because the kids spent the first half of the year with the teacher and their classmates and had some sort of connection to the group. also it was new, so kinda interesting. but come the new school year in september, it was a complete disaster. our kids didn't care about school, would not sit still, kept turning off their camera, and generally weren't learning a thing. they hated it. thank the gods of parenting that we found a pod that hired a teacher and was holding in-person classes at someone's house.
Another 91 deaths logged in today
I guess one can’t trust in the Virginia Department of Health to provide honest statistics
Pretty shameful
We were at over 7000 deaths a couple of weeks ago..now due to the “backlog” nearing 10000
That’s just ridiculous
Apparently power corrupts and democrats controlling all levels of power in Virginia cannot be trusted

I think you're right, it does depend on age. And once you get to a certain age, it depends on the person.
My kid is 13 going on 14. So not really a "kid." Just as we see some adults who never want to go back to an office (Yada), we have others who crave the in-person interaction (Sidehatch.) I think it's the same thing for teens. Some need a social life, some don't care.
My kid didn't really care for in-person school (to my chagrin), too many rules and regulations. She has done well with distance learning. She's getting straight A's in honors classes (previously mostly B's), and loves being able to just roll out of bed and log in. I just asked her if she misses being around other students, and she said "No, other kids are annoying, especially middle schoolers. But I'm looking forward to going back, so I can get the "high school experience", though that will probably be disappointing."
So she's happy with distance learning. Sorry if that makes me a serial killer.

Hogan goes full Republican… guess I’ll continue to avoid people and once a week carry out
Totally caught off guard by that. I don’t think I’ll be running to semi-crowded indoor restaurants and bars anytime soon tho.
Did get my first shot yesterday. Hooray.

Congrats! I received mine on Monday, no issues!
You, too! Which brand injection did you get?
I woke up around 4am and didn't feel "right", Not sick but not well, either. Didn't last, tho. Phizer, btw.

My father got vaccinated yesterday. He held out for 7 weeks to specifically get the J&J vaccine. This is a man with a bachelors in Biology and a Masters in a different (still scientific) field. I have never been so slackjawed at him in my entire life.
EDIT: By "held out," I think its essential I clarify, he had vaccination appointments scheduled and cancelled because he specifically wanted J&J and not Pfizer/Moderna because he "wasn't sure about that mRNA as a cancer survivor."

I guess I should feel better about the fact that my shots are still months away.

I also received Phizer… No issues minus somewhat of a sore arm.
