I'm honestly curious. How can you tell that someone who is wearing a mask is liberal and paranoid? Seems like they could just as easily be conservative and at-risk.
Find me a conservative in MoCo that likes to wear masks, I'll wait!

Pretty strong evidence about the need for boosters. Or another strain :-\

I’m sorry, what?
That article says that they had 606 new cases in the last week of October and 121 of the new cases were vaccinated individuals (breakthrough cases). That’s 20%, not 80%.
In addition, VT has the 8th lowest hospitalization rate in the nation because their vax rate is so high.

THanks for correcting me. I misread the graph. I miss my large old man work monitor. I guess I was looking for evidence that we all need to get the booster. Perhaps we don't (not really enough info in the article to tell if the deceasing ratio of unvaxxed with COVID to vaxxed with COVIS is due to more people still getting vaxxed and hence a larger pool for them and smaller pool of unvaxxed, or breakthrough cases happening with more regularity to due waning vaccine effectiveness over time.) Carry on.

By "mainstream liberal" I meant the people who voted for Hillary and Biden and think that Bernie is a monster who is going to take all their money.

MoCo anecdotal information:
Co-Worker: 50ish, double pfizered, got pretty ill, monoclonals infused, around a week afterwards he no longer tests positive, feels lousy still, lotsa coughing, no sense taste or smell, exhausted, been out of commisson since around 10/29. His wife and 2 schoolage kids, no symptoms, and all negative tests. .
Client, late 40s: non-vaxed, got pretty ill, monoclonals infused, got better. His top salesperson, 60ish (I am assuming also no vax): in ICU on ventilator for the past week, looks grim.
Friend of Friend: 60ish, fully vaxxed, did a couple of weeks on ventilator, has recovered. Unsure on how is feeling now.

Where Americans find meaning in life has changed over the past four yearsMany things have changed in the United States in the past four years, from a new administration in Washington to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has disrupted work, financial security, family structures and even the ability to move around freely – to say nothing of its impact on public health.
Alongside these shifts, Americans have evolved in where they find meaning in their lives, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis of surveys conducted in September 2017 and February 2021. In both years, the Center asked a representative sample of U.S. adults to answer the following question in their own words: “What about your life do you currently find meaningful, fulfilling or satisfying? What keeps you going and why?”

ha, i was just coming to post
about that.
what drives me insane (insaner?) is that if you told the anti-vax mob that a vaccine has the
potential side-effect of turning your pinkie purple and being painful as hell to the point of being unable to wear shoes, you can bet they would seize on that as a reason to not take the vaccine. but the fact that it is a potential side-effect of
not getting vaxxed is painful purple pinkie isn't going to convince them to get the shot… yeah, makes sense.
