My poor mom in Argentina is all paranoid and pessimistic about having gotten the Chinese sinopharm vaccine which she thinks sucks and when if ever she can get the second dose
And my unvaccinated mom is pissed that they kicked her out of the natural foods store for refusing to wear her mask over her nose (she says she can't breathe with it covering her nose.)
My obese 51 year old sister in law (brothers wife), who has weakened lungs from some other illness she has, is refusing to get the vaccine out of fear of the side effects.

this is terrible news. china has been on a "vaccine diplomacy" kick, dangling its (crappy) vaccine as a carrot to curry favor with developing countries. who knows what sort of backroom deals they brokered in exchange for access to their vaccine… what a bad deal for the recipients. and so many countries are dependent on a cheap chinese vaccine in order to vaccinate their populations. this is a global tragedy.

I'm not a huge fan of the passport thing, as it's a slippery slope on the sharing your medical info with private companies ….where does it go from here
what if the anthem says…well says here you have high blood pressure, not sure I am going to admit you on the possibility you might have a heart attack moshing to 5 seconds of summer
I don't have a solution, but I'm just not a fan of sharing my medical info with anyone but my family and my Dr

I fear vaccine passports could become something akin to the TSA PreCheck security lines at airports: A system that works to speed up life for the savvy or wealthy, yet literally leaves everyone else in the slow lane.
