Marijuana is fully legal here though!! I knew it passed, but didn't realize it recreational was now sold everywhere. It's no Takoma Wellness, but can't complain.
COVID-19 2020
I think this is a great idea to track post jab…but will likely get poor adoption

V-safe is a smartphone-based tool that uses text messaging and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins after you receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Through v-safe, you can quickly tell CDC if you have any side effects after getting a COVID-19 vaccine. Depending on your answers to the web surveys, someone from CDC may call to check on you and get more information. V-safe will also remind you to get your second COVID-19 vaccine dose if you need one.

Current Covid rates in Arizona are less than half of what they are in Va.
Also AZ went blue by a slim margin and has two blue senators.
What are you doing in AZ?

I've grown to really like it out here over the years…and if her family wasn't so insane, we'd probably consider moving here.
At this point how you handle covid isn’t as critical (assuming there isn’t a new variant that vaccines don’t immunize against)
The US had 280 or so deaths yesterday
That is the lowest amount in over a year
Arizona blew it. They had a performance that rivals the worst performing country in the world. And they had a substantial advantage over NY, NJ, PA and many other states that were hit hard early when doctors knew much less on how to treat, infrastructure wasn’t ready, there was still controversy over masking etc
Basically life is cheap in some parts of the country

not sure why it took so long for people to come up with cash-grab things on the masks, but Will.I.Am is throwing his hat in

The "Xupermask" (pronounced super mask) comes with Honeywell's HEPA ventilation filters — designed for consumer, not medical, use. It has bluetooth connectivity and comes with an earbud docking system.

Was able to get an appointment for my partner person lady for vax at M&T Stadium by calling: 410-779-9507.
Called just now, made appointment for Saturday morning. Easy. All adults are eligible.

i got my 2nd shot last week through work. had a slightly sore arm (nowhere near as sore as when I got the flu shot) from the first shot and slightly less sore from the 2nd (pfizer) - a very very very low grade fever (98.8) fever for a few hours the night after the 2nd and felt a bit tired, but that was it as far as side effects go. I have quite enjoyed working from home, not super looking forward to having to go back into work in 2 months.
in case anyone is getting all smug thinking that the latest wave is a red state-only problem:
Just five states have accounted for about 43% of new coronavirus cases over the last week, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
New York, Michigan, Florida, Pennsylvania and New Jersey had more than 196,400 of the country's 453,360 cases reported in the last week, according to data available Wednesday morning.
Those states are home to just 22% of the US population, according to estimates from the US Census Bureau.

Pfizer 1 this morning!
BOOM!
Nice
Nice
Shot #2 2+ hours ago. No side effects so far. Did a five mile run before going for the shot. That, and lack of sleep, are probably the reason I'm tired, not the shot.
That’s great… I got to wait til May 1
We are lucky in the US to have access to vaccines..privileged
In Argentina at this point they are only vaccinating 75 and up and with the Chinese and Russian vaccines

I’ve been thinking about getting a J&J on top of my Moderna. I’d be interested in throwing a Sputnik on there too.
^^ This is how vaccine passports work, yeah?
