COVID-19 2020

Well, maybe behind first responders and nursing home staff…
My wife's brother proclaimed he "doesn't believe in the vaccine."

Yet, he believes all kinds of Catholic nonsense.

Stupidity all over.
Now that I'm vaccine happy, I got my first Shingrix jab yesterday.

My arm is actually more sore than the two COVID jabs, but no other side effects.

Also, yesterday, they changed the colon exam recommendation from 50 to 45, so some of you can start lining up your colonoscopies.

Welcome to the 50 club. The change to 45 doesn't mean you're off the hook at 50.

Mine was fine at 50, but they recommended doing it again in five years, so I'll be due again next year.
Oh I know it doesn't get me off the hook, but didn't have to do it the last 5 years was a little relief

I know this isn't the medical questions thread, but what are people's opinion on Cologuard
they sure do advertize a lot
I'd rather poop in a box and mail it than have a Dr stick a long, flexible, tubular instrument about 1/2-inch in diameter up to my Large intestine
WTF are we talking about now!!??!

WHAT THE FUCK???
June 7th Scope for me. Follow along on my Instragram as I live stream the prep.

On the COVID - I just bought a GBV Ottobar ticket, and there was a box to check at checkout where one had to (?) certify that one was fully vaccinated.
apparently the Arnold palmer is getting some serious attention

@neil_ferguson  tells me studies are showing immune response is increased by mixing vaccines, eg AZ first dose followed by Pfizer or Moderna as 2nd. Says mixing vaccines may be good policy.

And includes those who already got a jab
https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/554623-maryland-to-offer-lottery-prizes-for-covid-vaccinations

Under the VaxCash promotion, one $40,000 winner will be randomly selected every day for 40 consecutive days beginning May 25. A July 4 drawing at the conclusion of the promotion will have a $400,000 grand prize.

All Maryland residents who have received a COVID-19 vaccine administered in Maryland at any time are automatically eligible, as well as people who are newly vaccinated. The earlier in the promotion a person gets vaccinated, the more opportunities they have to win.
