So, why? After all they have been pretty aggressive from Newsom to the Mayor Garcetti..,, Did people just say fuck it and start partying or what?
there is a lot of disadvantage and poverty in LA county: folks living packed together in small spaces, working "essential" jobs like grocery and janitorial that put them in contact with the public. social distancing isn't an option.

We were supposed to be in LA this week before heading on to the Central Coast and then Yosemite. So glad we're not. Maybe next year.

And it’s not looking like the heat is stopping this
Remains to be seen if it has the same virulence
Based on Arizona looking like it does..

I think it's young people taking Bill Maher's advice. More cases but lower death rate in the next couple of months. I'm still not spending any time indoors other than the weekly grocery store visit at 7am.

Is that a joke? Young people watching Bill Maher?
Are you trying to reference something? Like me saying what he said is idiotic (which it was…very..notice Texas and Florida closing down bars post haste)
I get the whole younger people don’t die angle but have no faith in people’s ability to not pass it on until it hits vulnerable people..young Latinos in East Los Angeles don’t get together with their grandparents? Not all old people are at Sunrise or retirement communities of South Florida!
I mean I don’t know.

Bill Maher told young people to go out and stimulate the economy, and they are. I never said i agreed with him. Older people need to stay away from the younger people.

So yeah, LA County has the beaches…Santa Monica, Long Beach, Malibu…apparently they're packed.

Rand Paul at the Senate coronavirus hearing: "We shouldn't presume that a group of experts somehow knows what's best for everyone."
Yes, Rand is a Dr.

Nearly 300,000 new documented covid19 cases in one week…
I am really hoping virus has weakened and/or it’s only hitting young people cause otherwise in two weeks it’s going to be ugly

have you seen any info about the virus weakening? that would be amazing news, but unfortunately the only thing i've seen is the virus actually getting more virulent:
This coronavirus mutation has taken over the world. Scientists are trying to understand why. :(
infection rates among young people is up, thanks to them going to bars, beaches, etc. en mass as soon as they reopened.

Bars absolutely must all close if we are serious
A bunch of drunk people yelling at each other at increasingly high volume in a small tightly packed indoor space is a recipe for disaster!!
I guess am just hopeful (no evidence) virus might lose some potency
I have to hope for something other than mass death
