so Fugazi hasn't played since 2002…but yeah some billionair asks them to play the Cap One center and the totally will do it…very on brand for them
Ted Leonsis offers arena for Fugazi charity reunionwait…Ian responds….
Contacted by WTOP about the tweet by Leonsis, MacKaye said, “I honestly don’t think it’s newsworthy.”
“My impression was that it was meant more as a compliment than an actual offer, so there really wasn’t anything to consider other than the kind words. They were appreciated,” MacKaye said in an email.
So wait…if Ted did give them the whole venue for free…would they do it for an all ages $5 show???
found this too…love hardtimes!

so this was kind of the end for me with Soul Asylum, but really loved the story about Runaway Train and the actual impact it had on finding kids
on the 25th anny….
Music video for 'Runaway Train' turns 25. New version uses modern technology to find missing kidsThe technology uses an individual's IP address to find out their general location. In the case of missing children, the video inserts the children that went missing closest to a viewer's area.
The original video helped recover 21 missing children, according to the NCMEC.
Even though the video only shows a handful of children, it was recut and released every time a child was found, resulting in multiple versions.

That is really cool. Soul Asylum, like, legitimately made the world a better place. Too bad they’ve never had a female member and therefore are monsters.

Pirner is the nicest guy…probably my more meaningful conversation with a musician
Unlike Julian I don’t consider them monsters because they started in the very different world of the mid 80s
Now a band with 4 or 5 people in it put together today in 2019 without any women really wouldn’t seem perfect to me but, again, unlike Julian, I wouldn’t consider them monsters

this just sold for $22k!
Cobain was eating pizza before a show at the 9:30 Club here in Washington on April 23, 1990. He needed something to write his setlist on, so he grabbed his pizza plate and wrote down the songs.

hmm…somthing is fishy
as they played april 29th 1990 and the set list isn't quite the same
https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/nirvana/1990/930-club-washington-dc-1bd67d60.htmlwho knows if this is accurate
but it is interesting to see how many Nevermind songs in the setlist
the band traveled out to Vig's Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin, recording from April 2 to 6, 1990.[6] Most of the basic song arrangements were completed by that time, but Cobain was still working on lyrics and the band was unsure of which songs to record.[7] Ultimately, eight songs were recorded: "Immodium" (later renamed "Breed"), "Dive" (later released as the B-side to "Sliver"), "In Bloom", "Pay to Play" (eventually renamed "Stay Away" and given a new set of lyrics), "Sappy", "Lithium", "Here She Comes Now" (released on Velvet Underground Tribute Album: Heaven and Hell Volume 1), and "Polly".[8]

Opening line of son of famous rockstar band’s bio on Spotify
Hailing from Dublin, Inhaler are a four piece band who met while they were still at school.
I’m guessing that 3 of 4 get replaced soon and could it be more obvious of a Bio?

Lacks the requisite sunglasses and comic book hero names for members to be famous. Does contain the requisite dearth of quality songs in the last 30 years, though.

Listened to son of famous rockstar band and yup singer’s voice resembles famous dad and the tunes are fairly generic Brit post punk inspired stuff.. certainly didn’t knock my socks off
