Oh, I haven't listened yet.  I kinda like Metallica, but I'm having trouble getting excited about the news of new material.

radiohead's decks dark, is one of their most important new songs, that they have.

Gutfeld -for Fox- has some edge.. he's had Lydon on his show…the dude from the Melvins etc…


I happen to love the new Chili Peppers record though….

I really dislike the RHCP.  Haven't heard the album, but the new single is really good.  I hate myself for liking it.

Are The Specials still bringing it?

I saw them decades ago, and have been offered a ticket to Friday's show, but I'm leery.  Anyone want to weigh in?

well the problem is that since the last tour a few years ago they have lost three or four members.. they are down to only three original members… Terry Hall sounded fabulous last time…. so its fun to hear him…. but I just can't consider them the Specials.. they're down to the bassist Horace Panter, Terry and Lynval Golding….. even Neville Staples their toaster is gone….John Bradbury the drummer died… Roddy Radiation was basically let go (probably he was bought out like Neville)…..

so its kind of the Terry Hall show..

when i saw them a few years ago I loved it.. but when I heard they were coming around again I was like no go for me cause of all the losses…Sidehatch saw them last time too

For me the question would be is the ticket FREE? A free ticket would usually beat a Netflix Friday night for me. Unless it was for a band that I disliked.

to me the heart of the Specials was Dammers so without him and so few members its more like a Terry Hall solo show…

Thank you both.

The pricepoint hasn't been determined, but I've been swamped at the office and have a busy weekend ahead, so it's more of an "is it worth my time?" sort of question.

Well Steve Cradock (Ocean Colour Scene/Paul Weller, etc) is playing guitar with the Specials now.. and he's a heck of a guitar player…

I thought they put on a fantastic set, but it is the Terry Hall show now
Dammers hasn't toured with them since 84

wow.. they got two of my absolute favorites in the top 10!

eno at number one as should be with music for airports (my first son was born to this..)… and number 5 the KLF Chill Out which is just brilliant…


both desert island discs for me..
