yeah, I missed that totally focusing on the headline
the song Hawaii, a love letter to Lydon’s wife, Nora Forster, who lives with Alzheimer’s disease. The group described it as “a pensive, personal yet universal love song that will resonate with many”he almost sounds like dylan>!?!
Never really been in to Eurovision, but interesting note:
This year’s Eurovision song contest will take place in Liverpool on 13 May. After Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra won the 2022 competition, organisers concluded that the country could not safely host the 2023 edition and that Britain, whose competitor Sam Ryder placed second, would take on the mantle.

So any reaction to the new Iggy record? Personally I feel it's a good but not great listen, feels far to polish and overblown to me. It feels like it's missing some of the swagger and cheek of his earlier records. Plus, I feel there is no irony when the song "The Regency" which includes the lyric "Fuck The Regency" repeated 23 times was recorded with a bunch of wealthy rockers…

Still waiting for Iggy pop store to send it to me!
Not expecting much…from what I hear it’s just some jam sessions with LA based rockers that worship at the throne of Iggy cut and spliced into a record….at this point it’s all gravy and I pretty much like anything he does…
Spoken word with new order or underworld beats? Why not
French chanson? Sure sign me up
Electronica Trumpet? Check
Reaching for old punk sound? Sign me up

A gospel album
Tuvan throat singing
Covers of 80s metal hair bands, done in a lounge style
Ambient with Eno and Byrne

Ok I hadn’t looked into the origins of the album, but it has much more of a hard rock vibe than punk one…

Well, you see, the Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts happened
recently and those other concerts you listed . . . did not.

I listened. I like it but don't love it.
That said, I found nothing Polish about it or in it.
