Musicological banter

The Plimsouls buried at the bottom of that 80s show at the Anthem doesn’t involve Peter Case, just Eddie Munoz the lead guitarist.

Per the Wikipedia

In 2016 Muñoz registered a trademark for the band's name, and has been touring as the Plimsouls without Case, Pahoa, or Ramirez. This was all done without Peter Case’s blessing.

welp Mike Skill just announced he is no longer performing live  with the Romantics, but still a member of the band…
i recently bought myself a guitar as a birthday present.  the missus had some… questions about my purchase.  luckily i did my research in advance, and when she questioned my so-called extravagance i quickly pointed out that, while expensive, it wasn't one of the The 14 most expensive guitars of all time.  some beauts on that list…
What guitar did you buy?

a used but "excellent condition" (tbd) ESP E-II Eclipse, honey burst with fishmans.  the color & pup combo is rare, i've only ever seen seymour duncans on the honey burst.  also got a deal on a Blackstar HT Club 40 MKIII tube amp, and a ridiculously cheap Line 6 Pod HD as a headphone amp/sim.  stuff arrives on friday.  i've fallen off the musical bus in recent years, looking forward to getting back into long nights of scales and noodling…

Upon clarification, not sure the missus was concerned about the price
Nice….enjoy!

He’s heard fuck all he’s just another spunkbubble trying to be cool

Liam Gallagher
It appears hutch came triumphantly return tomorrow and tell us Told You So about the Gallagher/Squire album
I got my dates wrong with the reviews come out I thought the bestest album being released this year is tomorrow…. But, dopey me found out the Squire/Gallagher album is due next week..  so I guess we still have time to crowdfund a vinyl copy for hutch, so he can return to tell tell "I Told You So".
Are you implying his ITS will be that the album sucks or that it’s the finest recording this century
So based on the review I read that prompted Liam’s spunkbubble jab and that there is a track on it called “Make It  Up As You Go”, pretty sure the reaction will be it’s sucks.

I remembered we discussed this when it was first announced and actually you sidehustlehatch predicted it would suck… hutch was a tad kinder in his assessment.

I did like that first track so I am more optimistic
That it’s at Walmart had me concerned
The hives are killing me with their European dates

First it was the Viagria boys double bill

Today they announced a 10+ show run with one of my favorite acts Bad Nerves (new album soon)

It’s on a major label why wouldn’t it be available from them?  Target has it as well.  Should I be concerned I can order Viagra Boys via Walmart?
