Musicological banter

Honest Question…

Has anyone listened to the Olivio Rodrigo album?  I gave it one listen to see what all the fuss was about and was like MEH, back to marginal UK bands for me…
Yes, of course I have. You can just address me by name instead of posting these questions under the guise of "has anyone".

She's not as catchy as Taylor or Ariana or Katy, but a cut above Dua Lipa, Miley, etc. Definitely some bangers.
her SNL performance was great IMO

Thank you for responding on my behalf.
The first two tracks were pretty catchy, but after that I felt like she needs a couple more topics to write about.
I had to remind myself that she's like 17, so there's that.
Well if the Rave-Up can reunite after a zillion years, I guess Josie Cotton can re-surface as well.  A couple new records from her out in the last couple of years.

Bringing it here
i have no real way to verify this a true quote, as this it is the internet… but in light of Robbie's passing, i was reminded of this recently seen

"A band is essentially a drummer and a bassist plus assorted novelty acts" - Pink Floyd's Nick Mason.
Did not expect to hear Nina Hagen name dropped on Colbert.
Sings, sings, everywhere a sign
this is great

(bonus points for spotting the error)
no door handles?  (I know it's like those are sharps or something…)
Without the first note, you can't tell if it's B minor or D major.
Believe it or not, the Who's drummer thing was done as a school talent show skit on "Eight Is Enough". The little kid didn't want to do "Who's on first" with the dad, so….
I don't know if it is more surprising that that happened, or more surprising that you know that.

TV show references to actual bands were very rare back then, so it stood out. They may not have even referenced Moon but I remember Yes and The Guess Who for sure.

Dmaj is the relative major of Bmin, same-same, so that's not it… (also, a piece in Bmin could start with a D, or any note for that matter, so knowing the first note wouldn't clarify this anyways)

correct!  Bmin/Dmaj has two sharps, F# and C# - but in the image above, the second sharp is on B not C.
