Didn't realize how many punk shows went on at the WUST.
I mustve been served the same thing on instagram or somewhere. watched some of marginal man and modest proposals shows from GWU from 1985 last night. I probably was at those shows. very little memory of though.

You have received sensible health care. You drive Toyota cars

I don't think Santa drives a Toyota, but not really sure

You’re fine working in software development. You’ve been there a long time, your friends are there, no one else in the company knows what the fuck you do all the time, but that’s because their brains can’t handle it. You don’t even like IPAs anymore
this might be yada, but could be space

Your son’s friends like you and worry about you but they don’t tell your son this. You point out where things used to be when you drive around town, but all the things you point out are somewhat shady and confusing. Was that place a dance club? A friend’s house? Were there parties there or just a drug dealer? You may have misplaced your David Foster Wallace books in the last move, or your spouse quietly donated them. You like walnuts now.
not sure who this one is, but classic

Your son’s friends know not to get you started on amps.

No, but it is a 2004 beater with 180,000 miles on it.

Was that a "surprise at the club" type thing? Can't believe I wasn't there or even recall it happening…

Was a fun but logistically challenging night. I think it was a radio station related promotion. I have the poster, some Beastie Boys dice, and a T shirt from that night.

Isn’t this the one where they were massively delayed (weather possibly?) and they started handing out pizza to the crowd?

I saw David Byrne's American Utopia in NYC this weekend. I fucking loved it. I missed his show at Anthem in 2018 and prior to Covid getting tickets to it was quite a feat, and generally an expensive one. I finally won the ticket lottery they have (lost count how many times I entered between 2019 and now). I would have loved it if I paid $150. It was nice to feel jubilant.
If you feel comfortable travelling, I highly recommend. As an alternative, HBO offers a screening of the Spike Lee directed production (filmed pre Covid). Move the furniture as you'll be dancing in your living room.
