Musicological banter

People clearly have far to much disposable cash for some of this NFT BS

Ok I know this is not the NFT thread, but someone just spent $69 Million on some NFT art

what is crazy is you can actually download and display an exact copy (minus the nft) for free
Yes we probably need an NFT thread, but I’m really hoping this nonsense burns itself out soon..

NFTs have entered the pirating phase,  people have begun  tokenizing other peoples stuff and there is a list of who to block on Twitter.

This is really going to effect someone like the Effin’ Bird guy,  as he already has to deal with the pirates who routinely use those print on demand sites to attempt to use his stuff.

Once something is tokenized it appears they essentially have copyrighted it for their own.  Because what this world needs is every meme maker tokenizing their stuff so they claim it’s their original idea and then monetize it.

What seems like on paper a way for creators to in theory get an upper hand, is rapidly becoming useless
Never thought I see the convergence of Ms. Swift and Ween, but here it is.  Bonus appearance by Dr. Dog's drummer..

When
@ericslickmusic
remotely recorded drums for the new Taylor Swift song, Swift's vocal was altered to keep her identity secret:

“The pitch was very low and kind of unrecognizable. To be honest with you, it sounded like Ween.”

Drummer Eric Slick Recalls the ‘Top Secret’ Recording Process for Taylor Swift’s New Song
Musician plays on the pop star’s new remake of the Fearless-era outtake “You All Over Me”
High compliment

Unfortunately Slick's recording studio appears to have been ruined this weekend.
Eric Slick is also Natalie Prass' boyfriend and drummer.
Not to be confused with Earl Slick
Or Grace Slick.
Or Slick Rick.

Husband… and drummer of Dr. Dog
Not to be confused with That Dog
You’re the Man Now, Dog.
