That whole Dookie project is so well done, the descriptions of each format is just cracking me up…
This one being the rest
X-ray records, also known as “ribs” or “bone music,” originated in the USSR in the 1950s as a way to bootleg banned Western music. By cutting grooves into actual X-rays, music could be copied and distributed outside official channels.
Green Day’s “Coming Clean” has been etched into real X-rays in this same method, creating a recording that is uniquely unmatched in its specifically terrible quality.
Best played at 70 RPM.
they just need to mass produce the Big Mouth Billie Bass one and the 8 bit version of Longview is adorable

This is… brilliant! Seems like a last word/kick in the teeth to deluxe reissue programs, and very well deserved.
My library has a piano that plays rolls but I think it's in disrepair at the moment.

Can you tell if you can enter for more than one item? Or do you have to choose really wisely….

Pretty sure you can, however, you have to agree to buy the item if you win. They do this by requiring a credit card to enter.
Also, the number of items available per song is very low. Lotto odds to win all 15, unless very few people enter. Winners selected three days from now.

Grumpy old man alert
Sat here watching a Kacey Musgraves show from her most recent tour. She and the band sounding great plus great setlist reaching back to STDP. There are of course some very lovely songs on her new album.
However, as I expected when they announced the tour it would be solid people instagramming it… so many phones in the air.. sheesh
Of course with all that said… Hey Seth Kacey at Merriweather next summer would be grand

Not at all. Just saying even if Roth agreed it probably wouldn't have happened. I assume they are all dicks and none are innocent of pettiness except maybe Michael Anthony…maybe. Not really a fan so don't know the ins and outs. I do know I like the Roth era better than Haggar, although Sammy seems like a good dude (but maybe he isn't)

It was ~30 years ago and I can't find it, but I remember a journalist referring to Hagar as an "unmitigated asshole."

If you like Hagar era VH check out the first Montrose record..essential..heck check it out if you like Vh or hard rock…
It’s all there..what Eddie heard and repurposed for VH and why he would have wanted Sammy…
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montrose_(album)And who produced it? Templeman who produced all the great VH

I can't say I've ever met him, but he refuses to adhere to the standard highway speed limit, so that says something.

he's mellowed with age, and (relative) sobriety
