Musicological banter

Bad Brains? Paul ?H.R.? Hudson to Undergo Brain Surgery
head line is worthy of the Onion thread, but sorry to hear this. I hope it helps
glad to see his gofundme page is doing well, I decided to leave some

Never heard the back story on the bands name, but some eerie foreshadowing
Recently picked up "I Robot". While listening in the car this afternoon, I realized (no pun intended) that this was the Alan Parsons-related album that Flaming Lips should have covered instead of "Dark Side Of The Moon".
great primal scream sample use… i think i just picked up the soundtrack last week but probably the sample is directly from the movie… i'll check and see someday..
listening to a very interesting interview with henry rollins, with ru paul on her podcast, "what's the tee?" from 06/17/2015

HR had his surgery early yesterday morning. It went well and he has been resting in the ICU.

That's what I thought. I'll take Nick Lowe over Elvis on any song, any day of the week. I love the fat drummer in that video. When was the last time you saw a fat drummer?

I once saw Nick do this song solo acoustic at a Borders somewhere in Maryland. There were only 20 or so people there. He finished with it (and it was great), and the fat old lady next to me started exclaiming "He didn't do Cruel to Be Kind! He didn't do Cruel to Be Kind!"

2 things
1.  NL is great, but I think the BS original is just flat, boring. and  frankly an unmemorable song.  EC  for me his version is vital, visceral and essential.  would easily make my top 100 list
2. The one take away from the Brinsely video…Loved that drummer :)
242 as well.  Which is pretty respectable given my complete ignorance of the hip-hop genre.
245, suck it suckers!
245
I blew a couple of those indie bands.
I must admit, I got a LOT of guesses right, simply by listening to the song and matching it to the aesthetic of its album cover.
god I blow… 241…

crushing….my weekend is ruined… a couple really messed me up
He probably would've been totally on-board if she'd only used her last name.

The children?s music icon had said he ?strongly objects? to their name
