Musicological banter

One of those good news, bad news situations

saw that and was crushed when they read the verdict
It was pointed out since it was a civil trial he was found not liable for copyright infringement and some are hoping this sets a precedent against these types of lawsuits

Also, someone pointed out that chord progression was used in Midnight Train to Georgia released not one month after Let’s Get It On

What? This is not how “precedent” works. That’s like saying someone was found not-guilty of murder so all murder trials are now cancelled.

Wife and daughter insist he's very talented.

I still don't think I've ever head any of his songs, except maybe a duet with Taylor Swinft.
He was in that Beatles movie!
Ok I used the wrong word

“Ed Sheeran's win in his copyright infringement trial is a victory for music itself, music copyright experts tell us.

“It will give people … more comfort in feeling they might not get sued and lose at every turn,” says one prominent music lawyer.”

Good film. Totally forgot about it.
AI may not have reached self-awareness yet, but Rivers has:

Rivers Cuomo Agrees Weezer Might Have “Too Much” Music
"Maybe the whole thing would be more impactful if we could go back in time and just release the very best stuff"

I only know four of the songs.
How sad!

That’s a better set list than when we saw them at the club….

Still it was epic that first time when they came out (after Dandy Warhols who were great but pretty unknown) and rocked out on Ying Yang the Flower Pot Man

Really looking forward to this show on the 11th….got a run of great shows coming up…I hope it don’t kill me though
i had forgotten that "Haunted When the Minutes Drag" is by L&R… beautiful song.
