Plastic Bertrand admits he did not sing hit single
"Ca plane pour moi" was written by and sung by the producer Lou De Pryck, which was apparently an open secret…
same producer is claiming to have sung on all of Plastic Bertrand's albums from 1977-81, but preformed live by Plastic Bertrand who was considered by the record label a punk figure.

Gallagher/Squire isn't very good. Gallagher really can't sing and not enough Squire guitar goodness.
Overall, it's just boring. Will give it another listen or two, but, it's just not good.
Boring.
I do hope it makes someone else happy.

not that this will fix the album, but Guitar World just published
a wide-ranging interview with Squire. talked about all sorts of stuff, not just guitar.

It’s probably in the works. It’s going back on due to Joe R. no longer being exclusive to Spotify. His statement was in part
…
“My decision comes as other music services, Apple, Amazon, Qobuz, Tidal, all high res, have started serving the same disinformation podcast I had opposed at Spotify,” Young wrote to fans on The Neil Young Archives. “Because I cannot leave all those services like I did Spotify, because my music would have no streaming outlet to music lovers at all, I have returned
Of course Qobuz doesn’t host any podcasts

Greg Abbott Tells Musicians 'Don't Come Back' to Texas
the festival's impact on the Austin economy in 2022 totaled $280.7 million, according to SXSW
when the culture war get's really stupid and you shoot yourself in the foot
welp that might not be a big deal for abbott..(yes I'm going to burn for that)

a handful of artists pull out of official SXSW events, hard to say if some are also doing unofficial ones… and abbott feels the need to make a statement… talk about overreacting..
I know for sure that 12 acts from Ireland and Northern have cancelled their official showcases, etc and have seen a couple more make annoucements
