Advice for new bands: When coming up with a band name, make sure it’s acronym displayed really large on your artwork or t shirts won’t be complicating matters. You’re welcome.

Black Crows, yeah, might as well make sure Spin Doctors and Blind Melon get in too.
I recall Maná being in the discussion of "Latin Rock" making the big crossover to the US markets in early 2000s (back when I read more than a fair share of music mags). I feel like they were pitched as a Spanish Language U2, as far as broad accessibility, vs. their contemporaries.
I think, in my very light research and historical recollection, they were also maybe at the crest of their wave, burned out (they went on a four-year hiatus from 2002-2006) and also didn't have the cross-language aura and mystique that they held in Latin America.
It's obviously an outreach to Spanish speaking communities (with the general decline of rock and music culture in general, in the US), honestly, to me, Shakira would have been a better and bigger choice, especially with the scope of her earlier work and continued relevance across communities.

Phish has a 50% lead in the fan vote over the #2 spot, currently held by Billiam Idol.

If Idol doesn’t get in there is something wrong…. He single handedly mainstreamed (an albeit diluted) punk
I would like to see Steve Stevens and Keith Forsey inducted with Billy

Looking forward to watching the Questlove produce Sly Stone documentary, but this is just sad to hear
‘Sly Lives!’ Producer Reveals Why Sly Stone Wasn’t Interviewed for Documentary
"His eyes reveal a precociousness and a lucidity that’s there, but his motor function doesn’t exist."

aw damn that does suck
Didn't he do some live dates somewhat recently
edit…looked it up and last show was 2014
he did cochella in 2010
double edit…the 2010 was …yikes
Sly Stone performed at Coachella on April 18, 2010, but the performance was widely described as disastrous. The concert was marked by significant issues, including:
Stone arrived late, with multiple schedule changes throughout the evening
He spoke at length to the crowd about his legal problems instead of performing
Ben Greenman of The New Yorker described Stone as seemingly high and ranting about being "kidnapped" and having a lawsuit against his former manager
He would stop songs mid-performance, confusing both his band and the audience
Gustavo Turner of LA Weekly characterized the performance as "truly awful", noting that many audience members were angry, some were laughing, and most were "appalled at the spectacle". The set concluded with Stone performing "I Want To Take You Higher" before walking into the crowd and leaving.
Despite the poor reception, some fans on Reddit later described the performance as "completely memorable", if not musically successful

So does LSD Clownsystem being "AMERICA’S PREMIER CLOWN-THEMED LCD SOUNDSYSTEM COVER BAND" imply (shudder to think) other LCD Soundsystem clown themed cover bands?

Truly what is ICP if not a clown-themed LCD Soundsystem cover band?

Alcest/Mono/Kaelin Mikla show last night in Philly was *incredible*.
If you are into shoegaze, don't miss it tonight in Baltimore or tomorrow in Richmond.

If I could recreate myself, I'd love this to be my description
Alcest is a French post-black metal band from Bagnols-sur-Cèze,
