ah yes, the column where the sports guy said that nufc was named after the broon, he picked spurs as his team and (maybe the worst) had pretorres liverpool number 2. i felt bad for him on how bad he bottled it
On the Eve of the new Season...

of all people to miss a one on one with the keeper, i would think mike owen would be the last
he's has to be #2 in the blame game behind ashley

That play summed up this season at the Toon rather succinctly, in my eyes. That's the difference between being mid-table and at the bottom. Sure, Portsmouth were rather unlucky on occasion, but Owen's play was not unlucky, just poor execution.
I'm sorry, man, but I just don't see you staying up now.
i just didnt see us staying up 3 months ago, so its hardly a shock to me
i suppose winning the last two home games would do it, but i'm not banking on it
came out with a well picked side and decent, attacking tactics. the midfield cannot pass the ball for shit though. had mike owen with the ball in front of him and just the keeper to beat and he absolutely blows it. oba can at least point to his injury and dukes has hardly played, but seriously, i hope capello loses your number mike

i'm pretty excited, actually.
Not good, Marquez badly injured and Puyol out in Stanford Bridge. The good thing is that Chelsea will not be able to play with the 11 players inside their half, that will open the game for Messi, Henry, Etoo, Iniesta and Xavi. Another bad side for Barcelona is that on Saturday we are playing against Real Madrid, too many impotant games in one week. However, more optimistic than last year against Man Utd. where we also finished 0-0 in the first leg.
I've never been so displeased with a 1-0 victory in the first leg. The scoreline does not adequately reflect just how dominant Man United were. That was the best I've seen United look in months, and while I'm happy with the lead heading to The Emirates, it really should have been 3-0 at the least.
chelsea killed my desire to watch football after work yesterday. terrible team
the goal at anfield on sunday is to lose by 2 or less
