On the Eve of the new Season...

Watching the chosen one "mourinho" chelsea was rather enjoyable in the end, but I was bored for most of the first 80.
a good variety of countries represented in the last 8

Bayern Munich
Arsenal
Lyon
Manchester United
Inter Milan
CSKA Moscow
Barcelona
Bordeaux

Other than drawing CSKA then the Frenchies, Bayern then the Frenchies is a pretty good draw.  Beats Barca/Inter/Arsenal….

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DRAW

Bayern Munich vs Manchester United
Bourdeaux vs Lyon

Arsenal vs Barcelona
Inter Milan vs CSKA Moscow
yesterday was a great day, we beat the bin dippers and Chelski dropped 2 points - edging closer to history
I was on vacation so I had to watch the match in a bar. I asked a guy the followng question:

"How much you guys want for Torres?  You know, so he can play in the Champions League next year?"

I've never seen a Liverpool supporter so deflated.  I had to buy him a couple rounds…
hahahahaha

this made me laugh harder than my facebook newsfeed this morning

but seriously, torres is out the door if they dont get fourth
if messi continues like this, forget about maradona and who knows who else.

Agree. He is playing unbelievable!
Rooney is also really on form… Beckenbauer said that Messi and Rooney are currently the two best players in the world..
oh no from the matchcast just concluded..

To make matters worse, Rooney has to be helped off the pitch with what looks like a serious injury! Nightmare!
Right now, I'm pretty sure that was about the worst minute of my life as a United supporter.

The goal was bad enough (though deserved), but to see Rooney helped off ahead of the Chelsea match - that's downright frightening.
hey premier league, we're back. the mackems are still shite, right?

Welcome back and no, the Mackems looked proper this weekend against Spurs, but all in all, yes, they have struggled this season.  You will get the chance to face them next season however….

PS: Can you bring Forest up with you?
haha i did watch that match this weekend. three chances from the spot was kind of nuts. missing two was funny. my spurs loving brother in law was less than stoked

forest deserve to go up. which means they won't
he is truly amazing. he is god

He was entertaining all by himself yesterday…unbelievable.  Even when I knew the game was out of reach and had baseball to watch, I couldn't turn it off just because I had to see what he was going to do next.  Damn is he being wasted by Maradona….
F me - shoeshine called it.  Rooney is starting.  I'm not watching the game live so I won't be back in this thread for a little while.  Just thought I would share.
well. THAT sucked……talk about a game of two halves

I don't like to question SAF, but up 3-0, there really wasn't much need for the suicide squad to be left out there.  I'm sure he was thinking if we can make it until half up 3-0 we can adjust at the half but that was not to be.  I was shocked that Rooney/Gibson/Rafael were all back on the pitch to start the second half.  I thought SAF might make one change out of those three…
twas the soft goal that killed us

3-0 at half time and they would have been dead and buried
