Who saw the derby yesterday? I don't see Pelle coaching City next season after that debacle. The team looked tired and completely out of ideas. There was no verticality beyond the 20th minute and let's not even talk about Mangala's defending.

On the other side, United played with style, which was lacking for a long while. I don't like them very much but they won in great fashion, Looking forward to their Chelsea clash.

Sorry I missed this - I was too drunk celebrating the Derby.  I agree with everything you said.  Except the not liking them part.
Wenger is apparently upset that his FA Cup Match is being broadcast at the same time as Chelsea v Man Utd:

"I am a bit surprised that a [Premier League] game of the same stature is played at the same time. There is a bit of conflict there that is difficult to understand,"

Um, you're facing Reading.  Same stature?

This seems pretty open and shut. Anyone who has made money selling the idea that soccer is an exciting sport is clearly perpetuating fraud at a massive level.

My other favorite tweets were (paraphrasing):

If the US pulls this off, the rest of the World will forgive the US for the whole "soccer" instead of "football" thing.

And the guy who said:

Those poor bastards probably had suites at the finest Swiss hotel with three hookers a day lined up.  America ruins everything!

former Argentine FIFA VP Grondona is lucky he passed away recently.. I'm pretty sure he would have gone down too….

I love FIFA's reaction "WE ARE THE VICTIMS! WE ARE THE DAMAGED PARTY!"

This came to mind immediately:

Sorry all my lovely new European friends, but you have to admit that as bad as the FIFA scandal is, its still more interesting than the sport

if you get Verizon FIOS now beIN is included so you can see South American qualifying (Brazil-Argentina tomorrow) games and La Liga etc… automatically without having to get the additional sports package
Though Im a City fan, I'm very concerned about United's current form. True, I don't want them to win in general, but also I don't want to see them playing without passion and composure. It's certainly a sad view. For the sake of future derbies I hope they soon find the pride that comes from wearing that jersey.
can't believe van gaal is having this much trouble…
