Why all the bad players Real Madrid has have to go to the US? We already lost Beckham, please let's not do the same with Cannavaro, he is awful. let him stay in Madrid!
You think Beckham is a bad player?
I like Cannavaro for his aggression and determination..

I'm not opposed to foriegners but it just gets pathetic when you have teams like Arse with ZERO brits as regular starters and they're playing in the English premier league.
[/QB]
As I am perhaps the lone Arsenal supporter (or so it seems some time) on this board, let me say it is the club and not the nationality of the players that matter. A foreigner can bring honor to the club just as much as any Brit can.
Also, if you are going to look at the players, why not also look at the coaches. If they are part of player development, then shouldn't it be that Brit coaches should be developing Brit players.
While I imagine that Blatter is good intentioned (Fergie, probably not), he fails to realize football is a business, not a farm club for the national team

Then why bother having national teams? Let's just have countries pick who the fuck they want and players play for whatever country they want, regardless of citizenship.

he has a point about managers though, i mean england couldnt do better than mcclaren? cmon, that was doomed from the start. if we would have kicked out the damn scots years ago, then the geordies wouldnt have had to suffer through souness
its not like successful national teams have this kind of rule in their leagues. why kill the prem for a rule that you dont even know works

Not to be a skeptic, but Rooney's injury one day before a premiereship game he was likely to sit out, and two champions league games that are now meaningless, means that Rooney is really only being asked to sit out the two England matches. Hmmmm?

No Owen, no hope? Michael Owen left England coach Steve McClaren nursing a major injury headache after he limped out of the friendly win over Austria with a thigh strain. Early reports suggest a month on the sidelines which would rule him out of Wednesday's potentially crucial European Championship showdown with Croatia at Wembley.

Rooney's out!
BTW - Scotland getting kicked out with virtually the last kick of the match is just priceless. HA HA HA HA HAHAHAHA, stupid eff'n jocko's.
A draw for England will do it, although it will have to be 0-0, because with Rooney and Mike out who's going to score?

Not to discredit England, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Russians were paid to lose the game. I am afraid this is starting to happen a lot in tenis, football, and even cricket, maybe betting should be forbidden.
