I too will defer to Mankie, but that did remind me of something I wanted to say.
How great is Gary Neville a a commentator?

Neville does a great job eh? Plus the manc accent is the icing on the cake for me.
As for the court ruling….I think it just means people will not now be breaking laws that were never enforced in the first place. The monopoly Sky once had is now over. I hated those fuckers when I lived in Cork….Sky Sports 1 was the first premium and Sky Sports 2 the second level…..only they put half of Man U's games on 1 and half on 2. I just went down to the pub to watch the games…that were being received by one of those foreign recievers!!!!

So a coworker watched the Mexico game last night….he tried to wind me up by saying. "Chicarito is shit. I wouldn't pay 10 million for him"….."United paid 9 million" I replied. "RM have just offered 30mil for him"
Shut the bastard right up!!!

Rooney got 3 game suspension for Euro 2012. That might mean you have to leave him off the roster depending on the draw.
(good for United though)

It's all good…..Definately good for United, and England should make it through the group stages without him, so can bring him in all fresh, rested and hungry for the knock out stages.
Personally? - I couldn't give a rats arse about international football. It just gets in the way of the important stuff like the EPL as far as I'm concerned..

I guess that's a subtle way of telling RM to shove their 30mil up their arse.

I woke up this morning to a wonderful surprise. Comcast Bay Area added FSCHD to their lineup. That only took 22 months….

So???? Did it deserve red? I haven't seen the game yet but manutd.com said it was 'harsh' and the bbc 'shocking decision by the ref'
One of my fellow ref friends said it was probably a red in Europe but so was the deliberate handball that gave away the pk, so the ref was inconsistent.

Not a red in England, that's for sure. You're friend is probably right though - a European official who hasn't seen a lot of tackling would probably think it's the most egregious thing he's ever seen…

great news! Espn/abc'S coverage has been pitiful..constantly dumbing down the game to appeal to those that don't have a clue about it…. they spend all their time appealing to those that don't like soccer at the expense of those that do! hope we don't hear more comparisons to american football..

Hutch - How can you be serious? ESPN's presentation of the 2010 and 2011 World Cups was absolutely spot on. Take a look at Fox's pregame coverage of last years Champions League final - it included a segment from Michael Strahan on how soccer compares to American football, and a segment concerning Shakira and Pique's budding relationship. What a joke. Plus, Curt Menafee sounds like a clown when he is discussing soccer (he's not that much better for football either).
That being said, they have 7 years to fix the problem. Let's hope they do. They could start by mimicking how BBC/SKY treat the pregames. Not much fluff. Just strong analysis and top flight commentators.
Personally, I think it is a huge loss for the growth of American soccer. Hopefully I am proven wrong, as I am sure we all want to game to continue to grow and spread in popularity.
