Davies is barely staring to play again. Not a surprise he is left off.

So is Juan Sebastian Veron, who is 5 years older than Cambiasso…
Zanetti just captained an undermanned Inter to the Champions League Final…I don't think I can say the same for Ariel Garce, Juan Insaurralde, or Sebastian Blanco.
To the casual observer, which would be a stretch for me to describe myself when it comes to Argentine football, it sure looks like an anti-Europe bias on the part of Maradonna.

I would have taken Zannetti but not Cambiasso.
Its not about who Maradona picks athough thats what all the discussion is about everywhere.. Its about the fact that they don't play as a team… THe talent looks nice on paper but I dont' think its going to work
I'm not optimistic.. not because of the players but because Maradona is a clown.
I think the starting 10 barring some injury (unclear on goalie):
Otamendi, Burdisso, Demichelis, Heinze
Dimaria, Gutierrez, Veron, Mascherano
Messi, Higuain
I would hope that if Messi needs to be subbed it would be Tevez and if Higuain needs to be subbed it be Milito… Palermo and Aguero seem like a bit of a waste to me…I would have liked to have seen Saviola given a chance.. and in the midfield Aimar was the natural guy to work with Messi. Of course neither had a chance…. Their whole careers they have been for some unexplained reason not given their due with the national side.
I like Samuel and Clemente Rodriguez on defense although I'm not too sure about Clemente's form lately..
The midfield looks weak to me.. Veron has a tendency due to his age to get injured… Maradona wants him to run the show but what happens if he gets injured….Aimar should have had the chance given the Riquelme (a first class troublemaker..glad he won't be there)/Maradona bustup..I would have also looked to take Maxi Rodriguez.
This World Cup for the first time I look to focus on the other games and not get so concerned about Argentina… I just don't think they have a chance..
Hopefully - since I'm always wrong on this board- I'll be wrong! :)

What!?
"Onyewu has requested and obtained a contract extension from June 30, 2012 until June 30, 2013. With respect to that year, as was his wish, which has been appreciated by the club,
Onyewu has asked not to receive any type of wages. This is an exemplary gesture that deserves our sincere congratulations.''

One change … Samuel will start on D not Burdisso…Romero starting goalkeeper… so starting 11 for Argentina is set.

They give away a free sponsorship on thier shirt to the UN Children's Fund. What do you think?
On a side note, my world Cup trip is just about finalized (we're debating between Greece and Majorca). Which shoes should I get?

Not one word on Champions League final?!
Well just for the record Inter won 2-0 against Bayern. Milito scored both goals. Zanetti got his Champions League in his 700th game for the club he joined as a 22 year old back in 1995.
And Mourinho is now headed to Real Madrid after winning another trophy.
