i was going to say "no way, they're playing kansas on 8/08", but the kansas game has been rescheduled for sept.  according to the comments here:

Here are ticket prices for season ticket holders, add $20 for non-holders.
Includes parking.

Lower Bowl Endline, $50.00
Lower Bowl Corners, $60.00
Lower Bowl Midfield, $70.00
Club Level Endline, $80.00
Club Level Corners, $90.00
Club Level Midfield, $100.00

huh, no upper deck… then why not have the game at RFK?!?  and if it is indeed an afternoon game, how much fun will the heat & humidity be?

personally, i'll be saving my money and going to two regular DC United games instead.
yeah, id rather do that too, especially because we might not have dcu around for too much longer

However, I was really disappointed by Scholes' tackle at the end of the game, kind of lost the respect for him. And Ronaldo and all he did to Puyol, no comments, just sell Ronaldo, he fits into Real Madrid, a team where the only thing that matters is money regardless of ethics or any other thing.

Scholes has never been able to tackle - seriously…..he does that at least once in about 70% of his games
i called that tackle 'pulling a scholes' as i watched it

i was actually pretty neutral in this match, but i really didnt like the side that saf put out there. once you push rooney out wide and start berba and tevez on the bench, that really decreases the effectiveness of 75% of your best attackers. too much pressure on carrick in my opinion

but iniesta/xavi seemed like 4 guys out there, along with the always brilliant messi. congrats to barca, when they fire like that they are a treat for a neutral to watch

It wasn't so much the squad (although the inclusion of Anderson reminded me of how badly I want to Hargreaves career not to be over), it was that he basically announced what he was going to do weeks in advance.  I watch every United match, but at least once a week SAF throws a curve ball in the lineup that causes other managers to try to figure out what he's doing.  I was very worried when I saw that I had predicted the lineup exactly.  Barca must have known what they were going to do and it showed:

Rooney was completely stifled out wide, something no Premiere League team had done all season.

Evra and O'Shea were not able to come forward because when they did, Barca was usually left with a clear chance to score.

Anderson was completely out of his league, and with he and Park not really being a threat, Barca were able to cut down the space afforded Carrick and Giggs.

Tevez provided some hope and Berbatov was a last ditch effort, but it was quite clear that United were rocked by the first goal.  Ronaldo was United's only hope and I think in hindsight, Giggs took that free kick early in the first half thinking Ronaldo would get another chance.  Credit to Barca's discipline that United never had a free kick in range after that.  Barca were the much better squad and deserved the title.

???

i haven't heard of this… is the whole league in trouble, or just DC?
district backed out of a new stadium, then pg did

if they dont get out of rfk the league will move them to kansas city or something awful
so is the fa cup on regular setanta this year? if so, awesome
Yes, 10AM on Saturday on Setanta.

And Ireland and Nigeria are playing a friendly on Setanta today as well.
oh sweet. thanks for the heads up, dvr set remotely
Often used clip, but that might have been my favorite use of it thus far.
during the 'weve had 3 managers! shit, weve had 4!' part i lost my shit
And so it begins….

Gareth Barry to Man city for £12M
ridiculous

if they get to the champions league next year he'll be 29 and they'll get someone better

and he wont be able to jump because he maked £100k/week
Normally this isn't news, but I can't wait to get AIG of my jersey so I don't have anymore useless conversations with uninformed douchebags who don't understand….

Man Utd announce new shirt deal with Aon
they'll bankrupt america next

anyway in typical fashion ashley is trying to sell the club thus holding up appointing shearer full time and starting the transfer process. i cant decide if this guy is an idiot or crazy
