On the Eve of the new Season...

Not sure I'd threaten Rooney with anything…but that's just me.

they should burn carroll range rover in nolan's driveway every week
Am I the only one who suspects the whole Rooney saga is far from over?

Methinks;

This 5 year contract is just a ploy for Fergie to increase Rooneys value dramatically in the transfer market for when he dumps him during the summer. I can't help but think Rooney won't get away with jerking SAF about like he has. Nobody ever has and nobody ever will.

I may be wrong but it would not surprise me….

I'm not convinced either.  Ronaldo signed a 4-year deal and was sold a year into it for greater value….
no, youre not the only one that doesnt think its over

at the very least i'd think saf said something along the lines of "go to spain or sign a new deal"

Yeah, I wasn't sure where you were at all day (or when you were watching it) so I didn't send you a congratualtions text, but I figured you were on cloud 9.
yeah, the derby was appointment television. my daughter was giggling at me singing "we all live in kevin nolan's house" all morning
Soooooooooooooooo…..'the goal' What are you thoughts?  :-\  All I have to say on the matter is that when I ref the U10 leagues I always remind the kids to "play the whistle" Gomez needs to learn this rule.

Sums it up pretty well.

As for 'Arry Rednapping. I like the bloke but he made a fool of himself when he made the remark. "Well, it's an automatic yellow for a deliberate handball, eveyone knows that"  REALLY ARRY? What a load of bollocks. The only reference to cards/handballs in the rule book is …. 'if a deliberate handball prevents a clear goal scoring opportunity in the penalty area it's a red card offense.'

Spurs were down 1-0 Gomez had the ball in his possesion so the ref did not make the call because that would've slowed the game down and been a disadvantage to Spurs. The 'dumb as a pile of rocks' goalie drops the ball a good 8-10 yards from the handball anyway, the ref yells at him the ball is in play, Nani comes back to the ball and has time to look at the ref for confirmation and slots the ball home. All this while the goalie stands by and looks on. He had plenty of time to get back to the ball and kick it out of bounds. (picking it up would've been an indirect free kick to UTD in the area)
yeah, you could see on tv the ref kind of looking at gomes like he was crazy. total goal, i told smackie the same off-board as i was watching live
Agreed on all accounts.

More importantly was how good Park looked (though he still can't finish) and how right-back DeSilva shut down Bale.  Very encouraging as UTD still struggle to deal with the Valencia injury.

Once Ver der Vaart came off, I felt Spurs had no real threat.

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that Wayne Rooney's shock contract U-turn came about as a result of the animosity shown towards him by Manchester United fans.

The England striker looked set to depart United after questioning the club's trophy-winning potential - with Manchester City the most likely destination - but, just two days after confirming his intention to leave, he signed a new long-term contract at Old Trafford.

While cynics have suggested that Rooney's desire to leave was no more than a ploy to increase his wages, Ferguson believes that the 24-year-old changed his mind because of the ire aimed in his direction by the United faithful.

How awkward do they look on the photo in the article?  Talk about faking it!!!!! This saga is far from over if you ask me.
Is it me or has Berbatov slipped back into 'I'd rather be having a root canal than playing this stupid game' mode?

Smalling is the real deal or what though? And I don't know how we'll do after the ginger prince retires from playing. There's no replacing that bloke…
THREE IN A ROW!! Has my prediction of a complete implosion at middle-eastlands come sooner than anticipated?
