Well, I thought the US looked crap myself (although I'm willing to say the conditions may have made them look worse than they really were). Sven will be fired soon if he hasn't already.

Well done.
Although Mexico didn't put 11 guys in the box all day, they just couldn't do anything with the ball in their half…

finally watched this last night. pen was bullshit, but they had the look of scoring anyway. thought the offside goal for the republic should have stood, too. i kind of miss watching kevin doyle play in the prem, but they need steven ireland to end his exile. they dont have a guy in center midfield that adds much to the attack

well trappa the gaffa said yesterday he needs to decide sooner rather than later - if we qualify for the world cup without him he won't be in the squad

I'll be in SA but we're buying tickets for the US squad. We decided not to buy the tickets for one particular venue…

i'm more of a club over country guy, so while i am sure the wc will be loads of fun id rather go over and see maybe 2 prem matches (newcastle and someone else) on a saturday and sunday and a cl (obviously not my team) match in england if i was going to put out that kind of money and time into football
although i really want to go to south america sometime in my life…

Champions League is back, today.
February 24
20:45 Arsenal - AS Roma
20:45 Atletico Madrid - FC Porto
20:45 Inter Milan - Manchester U.
20:45 Lyon - Barcelona
February 25
20:45 Chelsea - Juventus
20:45 Real Madrid - Liverpool
20:45 Sporting Lisbon - Bayern Munich
20:45 Villarreal - Panathinaikos
Not sure what to think about Barcelona in Lyon tonight, really bad game in the Spanish League on Saturday, we lost at home to the last team in La Liga, Espanyol, the other team in Barcelona.
Inter ManU should be great, and looking forward to Liverpool stopping Real Madrid's recovery.
