While soccer is terrible and none of you are actually fans of it – you're just cosplaying being low-class Europeans – I do have to admit the fact that something named Tottenham Hotspur exists is comedic gold.

speaking of uneducated…
Tottenham's name comes from the name of a 14th-century Tottenham man, Sir Harry Hotspur, who featured in one of Shakespeare's plays, Henry the Fourth. He was a soldier, and a very fierce fighter. So, the team from Tottenham adopted this name and became Tottenham Hotspur, which is shortened to 'Spurs'.

but I agree it's kind of funny

Can confirm, Philly is north of DC.
Well we have that bartender friend and he said Rooney came into his bar one day and was an asshole

My guess is he got plastered on flight, woke up feeling like shit and gave customs attitude and thought he’d get away with it cause he is used to getting away with it

But the guy clearly has an issue with alcohol but so do many

Anyways I have enjoyed watching him over the years….he played really well in the DC United game I saw live..watching him and Schweinsteiger interacting on the pitch was tons of fun

Not sure if this is the proper thread, but I was spinning next to my pal Wayne Rooney two weeks ago… and his lovely wife.

I guess the tabloids are wrong and they're still in a very loving and committed relationship.

Rooney has always had to shed a reputation for liking grannies, ever since he was a teen at Everton.  I love it.

Have watched it many times….not as good as Pete Davidson's joke about Catholicism, but pretty good.

Also, probably the right place for this:

Soccer Stars Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris Are Engaged!

the scary thing is that some of the regional organizations under FIFA like the South American one CONMEBOL may be even worse!
Yeah LEEDS!
I just can’t believe Messi is leaving Barcelona and rumors are he wants to end up in Manchester City reunited with Guardiola…

I have wanted him to move to Premier League for about five years….I just hope he has a few good years left
