I haven't heard that and my guy at US Soccer didn't answer so I'll let you know if he calls back.
What I do know is that US Soccer players are getting a bad rap for not wanting to play in countries where English is not the primary language, but when they get to England and can't cut the mustard, they're left in limbo.
So it would make sense for the Toon to be on the list as Jozy was in Italy and Spain trying out, but the only thing I heard about the tryouts was him asking other Americans what it's like to live in a country that doesn't speak English. I seem to remember him being fluent in French, however, so I would bet that it would be between an English (or Scottish) club or a French club.

hmmm…of the 'stars' (adu, zizzo, bradley, szetela) of the under 20 u.s. team, jozy seems to be the only one not in europe, none in england/scotland/ireland. could a change be coming with the next generation?

apparently no one in Chelsea is able to score these days, I thought Sevchenko, but was wrong.
By the way, this coming weekend the game in Spain, Barcelona - Real Madrid. Unfortunately, Messi got injured on Saturday so the game is now quite open.

When it was over I was quite happy Ryan Babel didn't play the entire 90 minutes. He would have found the back of the net for sure.
Mank, you were one Rooney gaff and one Peter Cech gaff away from correctly predicting both socres. Nicely done.
And in case you all missed it, Terry broke three bones and is out for nearly two months. No Drogba, no Terry, no Essien, no Kalou, no Mikel, no Makalele (oh wait, France moved his family to the mainland, nevermind). That's a team in trouble through February.
