Setanta doesn't actually broadcast themselves. They pick up the feed from other distributors and put it through their satelites so their picture depends (1) the source feed and (2) how it's converted.

As for ESPN - they didn't buy the HD rights. There was a rumor that the semi's and final were to be in HD, but it didn't happen.

At $15 a month, I predict Setanta will be in HD before FSC and this will all be fixed.

i knew i didnt have time to watch all of the el ameripool match last night but i really wanted to check out some footie action in HD. i was crushed :(

i clicked on this thread once, saw it was about "football" and never clicked in again until now. but i'm going to london in a few weeks and got tickets to a fulham/derby county match while i'm there. anything i should know?

Derby are shite, so Fulham will most likely win.

I'm wondering if all the doodles in the Fulham squad is just coincidence or is there a larger plan to try to establish Fulham with the football watching American?? Pretty smart move if it is, because they aren't compromising in the quality of the players.

America produces good players, your coaches leave a lot to be desired though.

fulham was the only team that i didn't have to be the member of, like, 4 different clubs to be able to purchase tickets. there were still a few hoops to jump through, but nothing too bad. the stadium looks pretty excellent.

HOLY CRAP!! New Zealand 18 France 20, What a weekend of rugby. who would've predicted England v France for the semi final after looking at the quarter finals line ups this morning?….I'd say the winner of that semi is the world champion, but who knows after todays results? Just proves that anybody can beat anybody on the day.

i wonder if big sam's finally going to realize that 1) alan smith is not a midfielder and 2) he's better than dukes and a mile better than shola

Who knows? Fergie couldn't figure that out so not much hope of dumb old big Sam realizing he's a striker…..why United got rid of him I'll never understand. Rooney and Smith up front would put the fear of God in any defence.

Robbie Keane can make the most out of nothing time and time again - he just can't fix the back four. Torres should never have beaten both defenders in the air in added time - that's just a lack of will and desire - a Spurs trademark.
