On the Eve of the new Season...

so apparently the qatar world cup is now in the winter and throughout "the gulf"

couldnt make this up
I lost interest in international football after the Russia/Qatar fiasco….and not because England didn't get it either. FIFA is just so corrupt that FIFA sanctioned game-fixing to allow 'up-and-coming' footballing countries to participate is only a matter of time.
to be honest i'm almost exhausted talking about qatar. russia i dont really have an issue with

they just add layer upon layer of insanity

but i've always been a club over country guy

can't wait to see what security is going to be like for games featuring the US or England.  and, as mentioned previously, having israel qualify would be epic.  i bet that would mean stretching the definition of "the gulf" to include jordan or egypt.

Gerrard and Terry are fellow Englishmen but I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.
i'm a little surprised that brum splashed the cash on him
I'm surprised that anybody splashed the cash on him. He should be playing in the Championship in my opinion. Nothing personal…I just don't rate him as a player.
so he'll fit in with the rest of their squad?
just saw the two escobars, what a great documentary.."the deaths of pablo and andrés escobar marked the end of the golden age of colombian soccer"…do yourself a favor and watch it…

Steven Pienaar poised to move from Everton to Tottenham…..

…and the rot continues at Stamford Bridge! They can't even attract mediocre players in the twilight of their careers anymore, even with that truckload 'o' money.
